No. Not very sick. Or revolutionary.
So what your saying is this can and HAS been done already. I'm not sure which cam manufacturer already has this ability.
Arri, Pani, etc...., please enlighten me.

I don't want to rain on your parade.. but I don't understand what is the excitement every time someone is using a Red camera.
This doesn't project confidence. It's like that 16 years old who scores and runs to tell the guys.
If this is a serious company that produces professional equipment then your posts should say "guess who DIDN'T use Red on his project, can you believe how backward these people are?", and not the other way around.
I think Ari Gold would agree.
Or do it in a subtle way - "here is a clip from Entourage, they used Red, enjoy....." etc.
Does EPIC have a pre-record function? Perhaps that's what he was hinting at with respect to the cut.
i get countless PM's from camera owners from all over the world (literally) that ask me to post examples of high profile jobs. why? because they have clients that are unsure of the format, and want some sort of reassurance that they are not the first group to "take a chance" on red for a seemingly "big" project, which of course is relative.
Haha. I had to check... Posts Per Day: 2.03

In some ways, RED was the camera a lot of people wanted to hate, for a number of reasons but I suppose the #1 reason being the hype surrounding it. Some of that still lingers, although I have to say a lot of people have come around to recognizing it as a very viable tool. Even now, there are still myths or old problems that get floated around. Sometimes you have to dispel these myths, but I'm finding as time goes on, a lot more people have worked with it and as long as it was used in a professional manner the experiences are usually good. I've been on a lot of national commercials and I hear less and less chatter about the RED. It's more about the content and how we're going to achieve it, which is the way it should be. That's how I know RED has come a long way. And now that they have a track record, I think the next gen cameras will be more about how they can improve current ways of shooting and less about all the other stuff.I don't want to rain on your parade.. but I don't understand what is the excitement every time someone is using a Red camera.
