  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

It's probably just my imagination but it seems like lately any thread I comment on dies, and any questions I ask tend to go unanswered. I hope I haven't offended anyone or earned some kind of bad reputation. I promise I'm friendly!

(apparently there's another Lee Saxon who is infamous at Red HQ for being extremely rude to Brent and Kelly; at one point Jarred got me mixed up with him. I hope that's not it!)
 
If you've never offended anyone then you're not trying hard enough. Can't go through life without offending someone or some many. That should never be the goal of one's life. Jim Jannard offended LOTS of people by creating RED, and boy am I glad he did!

So go out and offend someone today.
 
I have the last comment in plenty of threads and it doesn't mean people ignore what I say. It'll happen if you post enough around here.

Just the other day I answered someone's question and the OP thanked the person the next post down from me. Or another example, I answered someone's question and three posts down was almost a word for word carbon copy of my answer.

There are typos, people skip over things, and the forum can be viewed in threaded mode so your posts can be 'hidden' from plain sight.

Last week whilst DP'ing a documentary about organized religion I offended a crowd of about 30,000 people, by turning my back 'accidentally' to a religious figure..:iamwithstupid:

From my short time on RU, it seems to be a fairly non-judgmental and open community, so I doubt that someone earmarked you. unless of course you slagged the epic's skin tone or dared to compere it with an Alexa..which then you're on you own buddy :-).
 
You haven't offended me, YET. Ask me anything and I will see if it is offensive. BTW, I am easily offended...Kidding of course.
 
don't tell anyone but i'm wearing an alexa t shirt right now while on RU. thats like borderline hate crime... as for your questions, send me a PM, i'll try to answer them if I can.... between jobs I got nothing going on anyway lol
 
I still use my AF100's sometimes… and my HVX200's are going out on a job this weekend. I'm damned - I know it.
 
I was really secretly hoping nobody would respond haha.

It does get annoying once you become proficient and knowledgeable on a subject. There are a number of applications where I can't find any help on user forums anymore because my problems are getting so esoteric and novel. I suspect you're just getting to that point with RED where if it's easy you know the answer and if you don't it's unlikely someone else does either.
