  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Has anyone recieved the microMatteBox for Red One?

Just to make sure, because this is what I really would like to do. The back of the RR matte box, if I remove the donut, will accept an Arri bellows with a 138mm round stage? Brian? Finner?

The Arri bellows will work from what I've read and seen, but I can't be positive on your quoted size; speaking of....

....(D)oes the "M" on Finner's big knob change colour according to your choice of overall knob colour when ordering, or does it always shine blue as a tribute to Redrock's roots? (Don't get me wrong, I love the blues!...).
 
Brain i have checked out latest shipping schedule for MB
For my expected MB it say's
reservation holder orders completed by July 26
is that mean that our MB should leave your building befor 26 ??

I asked about this earlier on the RR forum. It means that all the res holders will have their mattebox shipped by the 26th. Of course, that date changed from the 21st to the 26th as of this afternoon. I'm not really happy as I feel like we keep getting "firm" dates that change at the last second and now I'm scrambling to find a mattebox for a shoot this weekend early next week.

I'm not holding my breath:( I don't mind things being pushed back but I don't like finding out the date things are supposed to start shipping. I can't remember RED ever changing ship dates on the day things are supposed to start shipping.

Either they extended their delivery schedule or it got pushed back. I'm guessing I won't see my mattebox for another week and a half or longer.

Anyone has an opinion of having both swing away arms (19 and 15) vs. using something like the Jeep and just sticking with one arm? I'll be using my mattebox on a Red 19mm rig and a 15mm M2 rig - (I should just by two matteboxes I know).

Yes, shipping has begun.

We are maintaining a shipping status page that is being updated daily (same one as in our last microMatteBox update we sent out). You can find it here:

The 19mm arms are expected to be out of production next week and we will be shipping the Red Bundles as soon as we have them.

I ordered my mattebox a few days ago.
Does that mean I can expect it by early August, or will there still be a 60 days wait time ?

New orders are now "regular" orders. We had the opportunity for reservation open for a long time (three months) to give everyone an opportunity to take advantage of their reservation status. Now that we are shipping it's back to standard orders.

I'm curious too.

Why does it take so long to be shipped, are guys building like 10/day?

Should be cranking these suckers out...for the demand, I supose!?!

Can't wait to get mine...
