  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Has anyone noticed...

...that throughout the RED Store, they've turned off ALL the EPIC/Scarlet/RED ONE compatibility indicators for every single product?

When did that take effect, I wonder? Recently for sure. Compare the 64GB SSD page, for example. Current:

http://www.red.com/store/media/product/red-mag-64gb

Google cache from Oct. 28th:

A week ago it was advertised as being compatible with Scarlet. Now they're noncommittal. Same with the CF cards. And everything else.

Cock-up more than conspiracy, I suspect, but it doesn't look good; gives one pause for thought...

This was discussed in another thread earlier today...they are clearly readying the store for whatever will be offered tomorrow night. I wouldn't jump to any conclusions at this point...it will all be revealed by this time tomorrow : ).

Mike don't worry. these sort of things happen in programming. I believe/guess Red is re adjusting those marks back to All compatibility. I believe by the time of announcement these products will show that they are compatible with all cameras.:hand:

There was a notice today that the RED website was down for 30 minutes for upgrade. I'd be inclined to contribute what you noted to gremlins post upgrade rather than jump to conclusions just yet.

It happened about 2 and half hours ago - made a post on it too. They also removed the DSMC tab from the menu, and the DSMC page also. The site went down for a little bit.

Perhaps just some internal maintenance at RED or perhaps they are trying to keep you guys on your toes. :-)

The RED Store server was build on a Scared Indian Burial Ground . . . strange things happening . . . too quite

I think Epic-X became the name of the programme for RED one owners in the stages. It's still here for the time being
