  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Half a Pound.....

Less is More! Bitchin'!

Thanks Jarred, so awesome that you guys never believe in just "good enough" .... always getting better.

Does this mean we only need a half pint of blood as well?

I love the commitment to retrofit the existing cameras. That says a lot.

Very cool, indeed!

Great news!

However it seems that the missing parts arn't the only thing delaying EPIC-X production... with the mechanical mounting points etc. they are still designing the camera! But I'm not complaining because they are making it better :)

I think what was going on was, "hmm, can't build the cameras yet because we can't get parts. Hey why don't we redesign this while we wait..."

An amazing achievement!!!

Now I could fly Epic on Merlin with Arm and Vest Co-Pilot Steadicam using Canon EOS mount and several lightweight Leica-R still lenses.

Could be all suitable - near top of weight range of the Merlin+Pilot Steadicam combo.

Now the PILOT™ 2-10 pound weight range will work with a lightweight Epic.

Light is right. Shaving .5lb is fantastic for Still work too.

Lots of other camera manufactures have significantly reduced the weight of a camera I've already purchased and allowed me to send it in for a free weight loss program...

Oh, no, wait.

:-)

Weight matters half pound walking with all your gear in the Desert Summer heat for 2/3 Kilometers in Soft Sand????????
Half a pound then becomes an extra 20 pounds.

Thanks RED, I will tank thank every time I trek.
