There are no changes on the vest. Adjusting the vest to find the perfect fit takes some time, normally after a few shooting hours and small readjustments, you find your personal adjustment. Keep in mind that the other back-mounted vest brands mostly require "custom" fitting before you purchase - Our vest is user adjustable. The other issue was with the one of the bearings in the gimbal - this was a pure adjustment issue and has bean resolved.

For footage, visit my personal website (all shots are with ActionCam). or for the most recent film, check out "philippe weibel" link:

No dolly used:)

I'm a big guy and a little worried about fitting in the vest, how does one size fit all ?

The vest can be adjusted pretty wide - I haven't had anyone say they could not get it to fit. My be you can PM your waist measurement (or just give me the length of your belt from buckle to the hole you close it with), and I'll confirm if the vest will fit or needs to be modified.

Pardon my ignorance about seadicams. I have a few questions that I hope aren't too unenlightened:

1. Is this the Red Edition in these pictures?

2. The vertical shaft (don't know its correct name) seems long. Does it retract into itself so that it's adjustable?

3. Are those counterweights at the other end from the camera? Looks like there's a wire connected to them, so maybe that's were the batteries are held, to help balance the arm. Why are they extended from the shaft on arms? Seems they're more likely to snag on something.

4. How much does the rig weigh?

5. I assume these different configurations are locked down, so one wouldn't transition from one to the other during a shot, correct? Doesn't seem to be any way to maintain framing during a transition.

6. Any video of the rig itself in action -- not footage shot from it, but the rig itself?

I expect these questions will be answered in the training video when it's up, but it may not be done before the end of the year.

1. No, this is the "zero-g" with extra 2 x batterie mount

2. yes, 27" to 54"

3. yes batteries - you extend them from the post (shaft) to achieve balance round the center axis of the post.

4. Sled, Vest and arm 13.5 kg (zero-g standard version)

5. No, you can move from one position to the other DURING the shot. See the video: http://actionproducts.ch/en/accessories/360-xtreme.html

6. working on that ...

can the red version be upgraded?

What's the min/max length and the weight for the Red Edition?

The "extended" length depends on the 19mm rods you are using. The minimum length is 27" or shorter with optional 2" tubes - custom cut to your requirements.

The weight of the sled without the RED components is less than 2kg.

Just to be sure I understand, the Red Edition, with the sled, vest and arm, are 13.5kg, which is the same as the zero-g standard version?

No. The RED-edition ActionCam is total (Vest, arm, sled) just below 10kg (without RED stuff). Because:

-lightweight vest
-less springs in the arm
-less components on the sled

Sent you a PM Brian -

Thanks

Hi Brian and Tonaci

I'm interested to jump in. Some questions:

- Shipping: As I'm located in Zurich (about 45min. to Brian's office), I would like to pick up the ActionCam by myself. Is this possible?

- Is the telescope range of the sled 27"-54"?

- I'm also interested in the ActionCam "360 Xtreme". What additional parts do I need to use it on the RED-edition ActionCam? How much does the "360 Xtreme" (with the parts needed for the RED-edition ActionCam) cost?

Thanks

Hi Alexander

-Yes, can come and pick it up directly

-The "zero-g" extends 27"-54". The RED edition Actioncam extends using the 19mm rods - the longer rods, the more extension.

-The 360Xtreme requires quite a lot counter weight on the sled (approx. 3 RED batteries with mounts) - It might make more sense to either get a "zero-g" or our post extension and batterie mounts (picture shows this extension part with 2x batterie mount and LCD monitor). Also you need a second LCD. When using a RED camera, you can use the RED lcd for the 360Xtreme and get a HD lcd as your main viewing monitor.

-Price: 4200.- USD (extra monitor and cable required (not included)

Hey Brian,

Is there an option to use just the 360 without the motor as a low mode cage? How much would this option cost?

Or could we use a third party cage for low mode on the Actioncam? Would something like this from Glidecam work?

http://www.glidecam.com/product-gold-low-mode.php

http://www.glidecam.com/product-v-16-accessories.php

Thanks,

Phan

Hi Phan

Yes, we call it "360" and basicly it the same cage - without the motor. You can adjust the angle and lock it tight. The price is: 2500.-USD (not cheap, but keep in mind, that you can adjust the angle, update to 360Xtreme and very soon even make a full remote head out of it)

And yes, you can use other low mode cages on the ActionCam like the glidecam lowmode.

Brian

Did we get any word back on what the duty would be for US delivery on the Red Edition?

Yes, I am very interested in finding out if I can send my money to Actioncam before the end of the day tomorrow (12/31) to take advantage of the write-off for this year.

I would like to use a credit card, if possible.

Any thoughts?

Stephen
