  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

GROUP BUY - Tilta Nucleus-M Wireless Follow Focus

I've looked in the manual and on Tilta's website but could not find information to the following questions:

What's the "BLUE" function in the wireless settings?
What's the round stickers used for?
What's changed with the new firmware update?

If anyone knows the answer to any of them, please let me know.

Bluetooth
Marking info on your iris knob
The torque was drastically reduced in low mode so it wouldn't strain lenses/mounts so hard.

I was thinking there might be something to do with Bluetooth considering the manual also mentioned controlling the unit with the Tilta app.
The future sure looks quite exciting.
 
This might be of interest:

Used the Smallrig Dreamplan program to make a small cheeseplate for the back of the Nucleus-M FIZ, as part of a bigger scheme to be able to holster the FIZ on either my belt or the side of the camera.

Got my parts from Smallrig last week and they're great. Not sure if they're planning to sell them more widely though...

hey guys, anybody knows how to update the firmware on handunit and hand grips? I know how to update the motors but I can't find the way to update the firmware on these. Mine jumps the focus sometimes without doing anything. Wanted to see if this is a firmware issues. Thank you.

Just got mine, some good, some really good, a few annoying things, but overall I feel as long as they supply updates until it's smooth could be awesome.

Hey guys,

Does anyone know where I can find a rosette extender like I circled in the link www.imgur.com/a/g1rIx5p? It's the accessory that attaches to the top of the monitor and the handle via rosette in the picture. Thank you!

Ok Fellas'..
Found the solution from Team Tilta CA.

All DSMC2 … Start/Stop cable should be connected in CTRL

All DSMC1 … Start/Stop cable should be connected in SYNC

My Nucleus Handles (tested both) REC button is not working with Raven (Tested with two different Ravens by using Tilta Start/stop cable).

My settings:
Raven (just upgarded with new firmware)
In BRAIN GPIO
SW In High (Record: Start)
SW In High (Record: Stop)
GPO Function (Sync Out)

Tilta Nucleus M (just ungraded with new firmware)

Note: Once start/stop cable plugged in correctly both sides, it does not work. However if I unplug start/stop lemo cable then camera start recording by itself (lol).

Any input will be appreciated.

Reviving this old thread to see if anyone still experience start/stop problems...

3 of my Tilta Nucleus-M start/stop DSMC2 cables have stopped working in the last few months (a couple of them were only a few weeks old). Cables have no signs of damage, just stopped working one day. Everything has current firmware. Hanheld Unit and Motor's read out "stby" and "rec" appropriately, but camera won't toggle start/stop. Sync port being used, brain serial set to rcp, ... is there a bad batch of cables other people are also having problems with? Is there a good batch of cables people don't have problems with?
