  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

GROUP BUY - Tilta Nucleus-M Wireless Follow Focus

Spent some more time today and got the focus, iris, zoom working perfectly. Still can't get the Red start/stop cable to work at all.

I had issues getting the start/stop cable to work too. Are you using the V-lock I/O Expander module? I have that and it didn't work for me BUT it worked on a colleagues module that isn't the v-lock i/o expander.

For me, both the RED cable and the 3 pin Fischer (through Tilta top plate and WC D box) worked without an issue. Did you go in the cameras menu, and fiddled with the communications menu? I'm not sure what the right setting is, but I did change a couple of parameters in there...

David, you’ll find the menu rcp settings in the camera. When the cable is plugged into the ‘Ctrl’ plug, the start/stop works.

Did anyone test the nucleus-M with the Leica-R summicrons yet?

Hi

Am seeing this quite late...
If anyone of you (Who already registered for the GroupBuy) changed mind in purchasing this... please let me know.
I would be greatful to you in taking your spot on the GroupBuy queue. If the thread owner allows that.

Thanks
Uday

1.) Near silent...no issues with sound
2.) No problem turning Vintage glass as they have very high torque which is user controllable.
3.) I personally haven't used either one of those, but the Nucleus M is an amazing system, built well, great range, user interface, etc. and for the price, it's unbeatable.

Now if only us others on the GB (beside the privileged few) actually get one :-)

Tilta have had our $ for a long time and there needs to be someone giving us updates at the very least.

Chris, I know you have moved on to your next GB but we need a honest assessment on whats going on with this one. Thanks, Adam

I'm using my nucleus 2-axis today and I'm having an issue:

Zoom motor will randomly make a quick adjustment, so my frame is off. It can be a big or small jump. Once I make an actual adjustment with the zoom rocker, it will snap back to place. I've adjusted wireless strength, and channel # with no success. I've now mapped the zoom motor to Iris control, but I've seen it happen this way as well. Camera is on a small jib, tethered to 17" monitor.

Anyone experience this issue?
