  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

GROUP BUY - Tilta Nucleus-M Wireless Follow Focus

It is bad for delaying the shipping for such long time!

hahah Steven, it is also bad to send back a repair to a customer with no bubble wrap, padding or anything. Not to mention the repair was for a manufacturer defect that you made the customer pay for.

Yes, that is how I received my RMA repair back from you guys. Pretty pathetic huh?
You are are just as bad, if not worse that tilta. Get off your horse.

More units should be coming in this week, then hopefully a lot more by the end of the month. Tilta doesn’t want to give exact numbers until they actually have them ready to ship, just so they don’t over promise anything.

Kinda think that ship has sailed. :)

DHL shipping projects delivery this coming Tuesday. (#39 on list.) Yaay!

If product performs within any significant percentage of promised, hallelujah. Happy to be receiving AFTER beta testing and correcting of minor flaws; prefer to wait for thoroughly de-bugged and QC'd unit, rather than to be the Guinea Pig and have to retrofix. Fingers crossed but confidence is high.

I'm thinking of getting one of these and have a few questions for anyone who already has one:

1. How noisy are they? Will they cause problems with sound?
2. How are they with older stiff lenses?
3. How do they compare to something like a Preston or an Arri one?

They look very promising but some hands on feedback would be interesting.

Thanks

1.) Near silent...no issues with sound
2.) No problem turning Vintage glass as they have very high torque which is user controllable.
3.) I personally haven't used either one of those, but the Nucleus M is an amazing system, built well, great range, user interface, etc. and for the price, it's unbeatable.

But, yeah, It's quiet. Plenty of torque and it's different than a Preston WRC4, these 2 systems are incredibly reliable (although I have seen Preston systems go down), and time in service is one thing we obviously haven't seen yet. But if the first few uses are an indication, I have a feeling this system will last.

Steven,

Speaking of customer service, whatever happened to those free mushroom antennas we were supposed to get for buying the Ghost Eye through reduser?

Consider yourself lucky you're only missing the "free" antennas. I bought a Ghost Eye unit back in June, tested and decided it didn't fit my needs, returned it within 14 days and was TOLD a refund was processed. This was in June. I'm still waiting for that $1800 to hit my card and getting the runaround from customer service even after providing my credit card statements as proof. I will never buy another Cinegears product again.

It would be nice if we could keep track of who has received their unit at the beginning of the thread. At this point ive totally given up on believing anything tilta says, Theyve told me "two weeks" probably 10+ times. I think the only reliable measure of 'how long until i receive my unit' is just seeing who ahead of me has received theirs.

They're in the 40-50 bracket now. I would expect 25-50 units to ship every 2 weeks based on what I've seen.

Thanks for the replies, it'll be interesting to see how they last long term. Tilta stuff is usually very well built.

#17 here, just came in last Friday the 17th.

For the record it's an amazing product for the price. Seeing the quality and price it's worth the wait.
