  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

GROUP BUY - Tilta Nucleus-M Wireless Follow Focus

Different cameras use different run/stop connectors and protocols so if you ever want to work with other cameras you might want one for each of the most popular cameras or get a 2nd one for the camera you use all the time as a backup. When things go wrong, it's usually a cable. Backups are a necessity on set so you don't look like an idiot when a cable goes bad and you only have one. I own literally thousands and thousands of dollars in cables for power, run/stop, motor control, data, etc.

You all don't have backups for important cables like this? When you are spending thousands of dollars per hour on set. an $80 cable is a cheap insurance plan.
 
Well a start stop cable is hardly going to top your shoot if it goes down....

I'm just an owner operator which the majority people who are buying at this level probably are but
if they are offering a start stop cable for arri along with red say then that is a good thing to have.
 
If the camera happens to be 30 feet up on a crane or moving 40mph on a vehicle rig, it's a PITA and demerit to have to come down from camera position/ stop the vehicle train, every time you need to roll or cut.

Rental houses own and list different camera systems, alot of people own more than a Red camera besides I don't need to own Red to participate in a GB on RU. Was merely pointing out that FC is not a replacement for run/stop cables as it's a Red camera tool only!

An edit to the first post saying "GROUP BUY CLOSED" would help.
 
Has anyone on the group buy received their order yet? Or gotten shipping info? I've had estimates ranging from shipping end of September (I'm toward the end of the group buy line) to shipping very soon. I'm not holding my breath, but would love to have a better sense of when this is going to show up so I can plan accordingly.
 
I'm number 7. No info since, "it will ship next week" on august 2nd. then the7-10 day delay hit. Still nothing.
 
Apparently they moved the record button to a better spot so they're re-doing the handles. On the Facebook page they said that would cause another two week delay. So it sounds like they should be shipping soon...

Also I'd rather wait and have them fix the last few issues before shipping them out. I think that's better rather than getting a product with minor issues and seeing anew model come out a month later.

Still, it has been quite the wait but if they're quality then it will all be worth it
 
Exactly guys. Tilta has been continuing to improve on the design and making changes/improvements which is going to make the product we are getting that much better. I'm trying to get an update from Yang regarding shipping. As soon as I receive one, I'll let you guys know.
