  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

I requested to pay by Paypal about a week and half ago but was denied. They said they had reached their Paypal limit. This is pretty lame considering they're not a small time vendor working out of a garage.
 
I already made payment. Was trying to figure out a rough delivery estimate. I attempted to search this thread but couldn't find anything about delivery windows, I saw that Chris said he should get his in 2-3 weeks, and that was over a week ago.

They are continuing to do QC on these. I should have a "tested" unit soon (maybe this next week), so I'm crossing my fingers. As soon as I have it in my hands, you all will be the first to know.
 
So I've seen them advertising that regular pre-orders will be fulfilled by the end of July....

.... so we should be getting ours pretty damn soon, no?

I have a few questions.
Have they given you any indication on when you'll receive your test unit?
Is the shipping of these on target? Do we know how many are going to ship in july? And would the rest ship in august for sure? I'm around a 100 somewhere so I'm not expecting to get mine in the first wave I'm just hoping to get this before october.

I sent my paperwork in June 13, 2017 and have never gotten a reply.

do we know if they got all of the paperwork and personnel problems worked out?

Hey Chris,
Can you request Tilta to provide tracking numbers for the orders. I don't think thats too much to ask considering their level of disorganization. Tracking numbers will be really beneficial for them in the long run and will most likely help suppress the "where is my order?" from 250+ people.

I ordered a G1 from them about 2 weeks ago and still nothing. But was told twice, it will only take 4 days....lol
 
I haven't sent my payment because I am withdrawing from this GB. Their visa process is very problematic, and the communication has been poor. Too many little problems adding up. It seems like a crazy trade off to compromise one's personal information for the sake of $100 and a few months with a new tool :) This is the second Tilta GB that I've had to withdraw from because of serious red flags in the communication and process. I really hope they get it together!

This is no reflection on Chris and his hard work, which is very much appreciated. He organized a Kessler thing a while ago which was super smooth. I can't imagine the stress you've had with this Chris, on top of shooting, so thanks for helping the community! :)

I'm #264 on the list.
 
Im out as well due to all the red flags and a cheaper price promised from a european dealer (if i take shipping and customs into the account) + the timeframe for stores will now probably be shortened because of so many dropouts
