  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Group Buy - Teradek Bolt

- Malik Moore: Bolt 500 XT TX & RX Set

That’s if we hit tier 3, but I’ll put down to help with the count. I made it copy paste friendly.

Updated the list with everybody from over the weekend. We're up to 13X units. GB ends on the 23rd and I'm investigating one other possibility. Will touch base tomorrow.
 
Phil, a tx rx set counts as 1 unit? I thought it would count as 2 towards the GB.

Interested in what that "other possibility" is! We're on the fence trying to figure out budget/timing... Maybe this is too much to ask, but this GB might swing better for everyone including TD if the numbers were to change a bit? 75 sets in that short a period of time is huge. Maybe lower the unit count, and / or make the incentive stronger? 10% off is a pretty normal sale for TD, requiring that unit count for even a basic sale.. or that TD has run a couple 20% off Bolt sales (like June of last year) might limit the number of people that feel they "have to get in" on this.

All especially in context of what just happened with the Vaxis GB, would be good to get more of a nod to the RU community from TD... Just seems this one isn't going to hit T3 and many of the people commiting to the GB are only in for T3.

Or maybe I'm way off! Could also have something to do with the reshuffle of "Accessories for DSMC" split up into a bunch of sub forums, seems most GB haven't sold as many units or gotten as much attention since then. See Hive's 200-C compared to the DS1 or Gemeni. Same with SmallHD's Ultrabrite (who it seemed by the way had to do a major lowering of the unit count tier requirements).

Okay. Big news in regards to this Group Buy.

First thing to take notice of is Teradek is throwing in the Hard Case w/ Custom Foam on any TX & RX Set (the Deluxe Kits already have the case).

After a lot of conversation with them we have come to a conclusion mainly due to last week's insanity that we have adjusted the tier count. In short at this point, we have already hit the 20% Tier 3 discount. This is pretty much the biggest and best motion from that. And that also means later today I'll send out the email to participants to start fulfilling your orders. These are products that have already been released and are shipping now, so order fulfillment should be pretty painless.

And the last bit of good news.

We have been able to add the 703 Bolt Director's Kit to the Group Buy, I've added it to the first post:

In case that's unfamiliar to you, that's a SmallHD 703 with a built in Bolt Receiver in it. It is compatible with the 500, 1000, and 3000 series here.

Every 3rd generation Bolt product can support up to 4X receivers connected at a time.

That's the good news from today.

That's pretty crazy and not likely.

However, with one more twist of the arm there is one last surprise.

The Group Buy also now includes the upcoming DSMC2 Bolt Module. This has been teased at previous trade shows and will be announced properly this month to ship late 2018/early 2019. If you intend to purchase one, this is a pre-order to lock you into the price and once it's available you will pay the 20% off Tier we've reached.

Basically this is a module that allows for cableless wireless transmission from DSMC2 bodies. For those of you who primarily use RED DSMC2 cameras and are looking to keep the rig compact and tidy, this is the thing.

If you're using lots of different cameras, the regular Bolts are likely your best option.

I've added it to the first post. This is a big one as we're doing this literally ahead of the official announcement later this month.
 
That's fantastic news. Does this mean that the participant of this GB can change their transmitter order (whichever that is) at a later date to this DSMC2 Bolt Module?

Will the DSMC2 Bolt Module be available for shipping close to/at the same time this GB concludes and orders are fulfilled?

As I said in the quoted post :) the DSMC2 Bolt is coming out near the end of the year/early next year. For regular Bolt models once I send out the form your orders will be fulfilled immediately. Like possibly this week immediately.
