  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Group Buy - Switronix HyperCore Batteries!

Somewhat interested, where are the total numbers to date?
 
I am a little confused. The first tier is the same price as B&H is straight up. If you are in California, you don't save money until after tier 3.

...actually LA county has 9% sales tax so you don't save untill 50 orders at tier 4 and then it's only $52 for a $981 order but that's how
it goes sometimes with group buys...sometimes the tax and shipping rates don't work out for everyone equally.
 
I guess what it tells us is that the normal pricing for this product is very fair and competitive; not a lot of margin. :smiley:

Yea and Abel is really sticking to their guns on their margin unfortunately. B&H is one of the best distributors for the video industry, and normally, they help drive the cost of everything.
 
Do these batteries show % on RED LCDs or just voltage info? Also, if you're not interested in the charger can you only get batteries?

They could if it's with the right AB/V-Mount plate I believe. Vinny, correct me if I'm wrong.
 
Few answers to questions;

-Yes, their is cross compatibility with our battery/chargers and IDX
-The Hypercore battery packs do have the necessary protocols to advise the RED/Scarlet/Epic of %. If you have A/B mount, A/B makes a plate for the camera. If you have V-mt, RED reverses the i2c data contacts, so we can offer an adapter OR offer free service on OUR plates to accomodate. If someone is capable of soldering, it's just reversing the 2 data connections from V-mt contact block to the cable. PLEASE contact us prior to doing so, so we can advise the terminals.

Furthmore, just to clarify.....

We/Chris have arranged this group buy to accelerate the opportunity to hit the 50+ mark. If someone purchases batteries alone, that counts towards the group buy. Also, each battery purchase counts towards the group buy count. So if someone buys 3 battery packs in one purchase, that counts as 3. We feel this should make it the max discount volume easily attainable. Please let me know if you have more questions.

From a domestic standpoint, shipping is included..... Unfortunately, no one can escape the tax man:(
 
Jeff So I am Jose with Switronix and this fumble was my fault. Chris and I discussed getting a faster charger on the offer after we ran with group buy last week. I got it approved and never got him the new image. The XC is a non Digital charger which is faster than the GP. The original offer was $1200 and this new package is listed at $1300 we are working off of list not retail. The first tier should be at $1025. Also single battery order will count as one buy. So getting to the top tier would be easy. Hopefully this helps and clears things up.
