  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Group Buy: L'Aigle Exoskeleton

Will be fun to se what is changed since v1. Also i hope there will be a nice upgrade price. Just looked at a video from tilta with there v2 of armorman. They had a nice price for the arm upgrade;)

Someone use the Ronin in inverted mode with the Exo? If yes, how does it feel?

Works fine in inverted. Since it's best to turn the Ronin handles upside down as well for control, getting them through the exo straps is a super POA. Not well thought out at all.

I disagree with this approach. You should never slip the exo straps over the handles. You should use my proven velco method. If you don't you're not getting the best use of your exo. Not my opinion, fact. Tested and proven.

You're velcro method works without a doubt but it requires you to mount the handles to the very end, making a wide ride even wider. I tend to like my handles about an inch from each end. I'm surprised Exo hasn't improved their own mounting method yet. The best response I got from Pierre was to buy S hooks from Home Depot. Right......

Assembled case solution

Assembled case solution

I have been working on a viable travel case solution for the Exo. The version I got was with the one piece arms so I didn't have the option for the L'Aigle case without modification. I really love the results with this now essential piece of gear, but I think it is key to not assemble and re-assemble each time you use it. Once you have it tuned it is pretty seamless. My case is still a work in progress. But I think it shows promise. The base case I used is this: http://www.gatorcases.com/p/316151-1443/gxr-3219-1603. It is $386. It is literally the smallest stock case I could find that fits the arms(Barely).I then had a custom insert cut for the arms at mycasebuilder.com. There was a 15% Photo Expo discount so that came to $134.19. So total is just a bit over $500. The total weight is almost exactly 50 LB. But this case is pretty huge so my guess is it will incur oversize charges when flying. I included a photo of the Ronin case on top to give an idea of scale. If anyone wants a copy of my custom insert measurements send me a PM. Best. Troy

Any news on the V2 EXO? Are there others besides myself from the group buy that never got their V1 but are waiting for the V2? I'm looking forward to getting this piece of kit.

Pierre said his V2 will be ready in less than two weeks.

I'm still waiting with you Michael. Corresponded with Pierre about 2 weeks ago and he mentioned it was close but no definitive ship date yet. I'm looking forward the V2. I'm sure they are both similar with a few modifications as oppose to major changes but still can't wait to see it.

I'm on that list - excited to get my V2.
