  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Group Buy: L'Aigle Exoskeleton

English is not my first language so i might got it wrong but let me just give you the things we are seeing and im not calling you a liar:

23.03.2015:
My tests are complete. I am transcoding media as we speak. I will have a teaser for you guys soon...

24.03.2015:

Please, please, please be patient and give me another 10 days to give you a very thorough, top to bottom review of this product.

28.03.2015:
It took me 30 seconds to post the pic... It will take approximately 8 more days to you my review.

28.03.2015:
You can check back here in 8-10 days for my full review.
That's final.
Thank you.

less then 24 hours ago:
I just need another week or so... Awaiting word from Pierre.

Nothing is inconsistent with what I said.

Review = my "written thoughts" about the product.

Awaiting word from Pierre = when he will ship the final product to me to test and review. Approximately 10 days was what he told me. I have been bugging him every other day since about when it will be shipped so that I can post my REVIEW.

I need another week or so = I can't review the final product until I get it.

Get it?

Carey,

If I were you, I'd even just record some video review of the product on my iPhone for ten minutes and share it here to put out some fire you've created. I personally don't care when it ships as long as I'm not forgotten when it's ready, but it looks like you do speak different things here and there.

Just a thought.

Yes, I got a pre-production sample, as Pierre had mentioned. That's why I have not posted a review. I promised Pierre, before receiving my unit, that I would share my thoughts with him before sharing them with the group.

I discovered some things about the product that I felt could be improved upon. I'm looking at the Exo from a Cinematographer's point of view. I just want an Exoskeleton that removes the weight without removing any of the range of motion, mobility and agility you have when using just a gimbal by itself.

My pre-production model was 35" wide. I could slowly squeeze through a doorway, but not run through it... I complained to Pierre about this problem and he went back to the drawing board and corrected the problem. There were some other minor things that he improved upon as well.

That's why you have not heard a peep out of me about the product... Because I want Pierre to have an opportunity to send me the final unit for review.

Constantine, I have no qualms about any of your questions here. They are all legitimate questions... But I have a big surprise for you... and it's bad news for the Easyrig... But I will wait until I test my final unit to share this info...

By the way, I'll take the Pepsi challenge with the final Exoskeleton against your Easyrig /Serene combo any time you want.

This is not a race but since you are in the USA, and you probably attend Nab , you can show people there what you cant do. Besides all that Im all good to surprises, since Iam not the one who started the X-rig killer situation, that means that, you probably think its your No 1 enemy. To be clear, I am good all the way with new products, AP brought a good product and there was not any problem with the way they handled their GB, and the total situation. I dont know who s fault is this, but if I was a customer and you were my GB arranger , you missed too many promises and dates, probably not your fault, but its not the customers fault either.

All in all , I believe that you should tell people the very first time that you had a pre production problem and you had some comments that they needed for improvement , in fact you never did until Piere stepped in. The problem is that even so you arranged the GB you are a customer and not a Laigle employ and that means that you should bring anything that worried you from the start , and not make posts like ....Iam preparing teasers for you, and its awesome, and so on,since....you just mentioned problems and its not exactly awesome.

All in all Carey, so you know , you have started a contest talking about killing products, and you want to carry on with it.

the fact is you never tested the tools you claim you will kill, you just keep teasing people with out even have a product that is updated. You even did that before you even had the product in your hands man. yes I know about Steve Jobs. No need to talk about vision and perfection. Iam aware

So carry on. No prob. And so you know we have some more surprises for you as well, and that aint easyrig for the very near future. Dont worry we dont copy.

and thats the last from me on this matter.

all the best

edit reading you last post, beacuse I wasnt aware about the NDA thing, thats cool, but you should then tell people that you did so, and that the you will post footage when you are ready. 10 days or so ago you were ready. No NDA claims there. regards

Just a thought.

I speak different things when things become different. If there is a delay in shipping, that changes things. If I signed an NDA agreement, that changes things.

The final product is better because of me.

You get a huge discount because of me.

Your welcome.

Why do we have to put up with trolls on this thread who have no interest in this group buy other than to cause issues and spread FUD?

Carey I'm confused maybe someone can clarify. Are there now a new round of changes going into the final build of the exo?

If if so will we be privy to the final information prior to making our full payment? I've been trying to navigate this thread but am lost amongst all the squabbling.

Can pierre and or Carey clarify when final payment is due? When we will get the final review?

Regarding my question, please read posts 1340 and 1410 containg Pierre's comments about possibly not following through with the group buy.

And my last post too.

Is there a deadline for paid the second part of the invoice ? Maybe it could be better for everyone to know that ? like the deadline for the 1st payment.

Last but not least, Carrey or Pierre could you confirm that if we pay now (or already paid) and we don't get the +85 users, for people who already full paid, they still in with the Group Buy price or full retail price ? So if not, it mean refund with how many days ?

It's a important point I think.

Carey. Sending some love your way. These are difficult and time consuming. Ultimately we all have the choice to jump or not on our end. Things can change and if they result in improvements to the units all the better. I think the initial terms of refund are more than fair given the company history. Everything costs something. Including discounts. Anxiously awaiting this thing. Hang in there.

Thanks for your efforts.

Ps. Hoping your having fun in Chi.

Hopefully, at this late date in the group buy, the questions and concerns being voiced here are from those involved in the group buy and not just outsiders creating issues were there are none. I agree, the people with the money on the line for this product,in this group buy, should have their questions answered. All others will have plenty of time to do their own research as the units get out into the world.

i'm all paid in full. Much on faith. But my concerns really sprung from seeing Vincent's test. I thought the only door that's getting through easily is the freight entrance. Pierre has answered that the new version will be 25.4 wide which is great. I saw the drawing. I'd still like clarification if that width holds when worn and spanning the crossbar of a Ronin or Movi. Basically many of the technical concerns come from being asked for full payment before seeing the full item as will be shipped.

For the record, my concerns weren't aimed at you, or any other paying member of the group buy.

Regarding my question, please read posts 1340 and 1410 containg Pierre's comments about possibly not following through with the group buy.

So far we are between 41 and 45 to have paid in full. That's half of it. The closest step is 60 people, for 2135€ I bet we will have it.
85 is something else. I hope sincerely that Pierre will honor that price, even if it's only 135€ extra.

Considering the amount of trolls, who are heavily trolling despite their absence in the groupbuy, I hope Pierre is not so pissed he won't do it. I know I wouldn't, but I'm a dick sometimes.

+1
That will bring more group buyers paying their balances now than wait for the final numbers & price.

Personally, I believe the number of the good faith deposits should be used for counting how many group buyers for the pricing not the number of final payments. The original term with the payment after the final review and 14 day refund policy after the shipping would make it really hard to count the final number of the group buyers.

I hope Pierre is not so pissed he won't do it.

Bérenger, well, I am.
I guess it’s human nature to make everything dirty, muddy, tacky...

I won’t cancel this GB because of a dozen of racist, paranoid, frantic, copycat’s friend, a competitor who'd love to keep selling a short dick on spring for 3k and individuals with pecuniary interest to spoil this party.
Half of them having nothing to do with this Groupbuy anyway, and keeping coming here to annoy the crowd, filling this thread with insanities.

The final exo was first showcased in London, and we felt 46mm longer exoarms and a 11° change on their rotation axle would make it perfect. So why not?
Carey came out with an idea for a velcro attachment of the gimbal we couldn't buy. This took 2 weeks of negociation.
That's it.

Now despite our efforts to maintain a pleasant and positive note, it keeps going bananas.
So go on, Jens, Constantine, Uros and Co. make this a playground for 5 years olds.

I'm very sorry for the 80 patient, friendly, professional, positive people annoyed by those few trolls.

Dick on springs, I love it, LOL.
Merci Pierre

I'm hoping that any and all parties involved take a step back and take a breather! This group buy looks like its getting shockingly similar to another group buy and this one would be a crying shame to lose. So I'm hoping that anyone with a vested interest in this group buy take the high road and disregard that in which we cannot change. Distractions will work themselves out if they are ignored and disregarded. There is still plenty of room to keep this group buy going and to have a great ending for everyone. However, if this group buy gets shut down and tanks then the distractions will ultimately prevail resulting in less units out there to be praised for the things I think we're all hoping it can do. So any name aggression followed by rebutting with more aggression I'm hoping will cease so we can all laugh when this is over! So with that...

Also, do remember the "life" of Group Buys here on REDuser is getting very thin due to a lot of this.

Not long ago there was discussion about removing Group Buys from the site all together. As a shooter and member of the community who sees the usefulness of such things, I implore all to act professionally.

That's what I have been afraid of. Phil, if it comes up again, please consider banning the "kickstarter" variety of Group Buys first before the ones that actually seem to work. A simple, 1-step litmus test will filter out pretty much all the problems: Is the product available, on the shelves, right now? If not, go to Kickstarter.

exactly why i was part of this topic. i hate group buys with changing everything from hour to hour,... and this shouldt be another kickstarter campaing (mentioned it more then once) and when we all can see that people here were not told that a second modifications are in the making,... and so on and so on... and all the "lets not answer if it can fit trough doors" for weeks,... we all know its a natural process do modify things,... but calling them superb even before they are made and then changing the date of reviews and shipping,... is killing group buys..

I think, from now on - in the interests of this Group Buy, that we should restrict any postings to those RU's that are actually part of this Group Buy.

As I posted earlier (trying to diffuse a thread I see going the way of an other famous one), let's just relax.

Deep breath - and wait until Carey's review and a post NAB deadline from Pierre - then exhale... sorry, Exhauss, LOL.
