  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Group Buy: L'Aigle Exoskeleton

Doorway tests, interior car shots, running to test the 4th-axis stability, holding at eye level for extended periods of time, complex shots that stop on a dime, whip pan stop on a dime on another subject, a slow creep to try to emulate a "Kubrick" style dolly shot... These are all on my list.

If I could add shooting from the side/ shooting someone from their profile while walking along with them. Thanks for doing all this Carey.

Hey Carey, really excited you are getting your unit tomorrow, I think. Can't wait to hear your feedback. We are getting an amazing price on this product given the price on the "exclusive" Beyond HD site. Mine wont arrive soon enough, hopefully doesn't lag much behind the exclusive dealer delivery.
Aloha

Do we have a ship date for others yet? Have a gig that I could use this on next week.

My unit got stuck in France in customs in a "clearance event" according to the DHL website. I'm sure they poked, prodded and x-rayed it for days trying to figure out what it was, before finally releasing it last night. It's currently in Madrid, Spain, so it may be a few days late.

Don't expect to be shooting with it next week. Pierre will update us with the shipping schedule soon. Thanks!

Yikes. I hope Pierre offers a FedEx option instead of just DHL. DHL in Canada is the worst of the bunch.

We're thinking about selling our spot if that doesn't ruffle any feathers...pm me if you missed the boat.

Thank you,

First impressions:

- Extremely well-thought-out.
- Quality craftsmanship. Seems to be solid and rugged.
- Incredibly lightweight!! Way lighter than I imagined.
- Comes with a nice stand.
- Looks badass.

More to come...

For lack of a better response... WooHoo!! :-)

Heres:s a nibble... Yes, you can walk through doorways, at any speed, with any gimbal. Not like you think though. It requires, like all shots, a specific technique. This "doorway mode" will get you through any doorway. Just like the steadicam requires many fundamental techniques... so too will this new tech. But, You will need 3 years to master a steadicam. I suspect the gimbal/exo rig can be mastered in a fraction of that time. Good news for us pioneers!
