  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Group Buy: L'Aigle Exoskeleton

Good to see some foto's Pierre, looks clean and simple! Is it still possible to release your hands and let L'aigle carry the gimbal unsupported, like in the released video? (major selling point for me)

Any news, pics, video etc. from London ?

looks interesting, but have to wait until its really out there and see the videos produced with it. All this delays from you guys and competing companies just confirms that pre-order is not the best option, even if its cheaper as thing change a lot over the delays... but as i said im interested and cant wait for it to be on the market and used and see some reviews, maybe Ketch's in 6-12 months ;)

6 weeks after the group buy ends on 31st of October was the first delivery time (or 8weeks after first desdline on 15th of October) and i think we are past that by a lot. Same goes for other companies that promised stuff :)
i know the design changed,... But thats what im talking about when i say I have to see the lroduct first before i buy it as im not a rich man that i could risk it and invest in 5months - i can make more money in that time with a gear that i have in my hands then the groupbuy discount.

Back from London! Here is a first smartphone video and british operators comments:

There hasn’t been one bit of negativity. The exoskeleton works beautifully. And the feel of comfort (with a Red Dragon on Letus Helix) is beyond expectations. You actually feel like flying a spaceship comfortably installed behind the control panel and joysticks!

The rig looks great.

I've received no emails apart from the acknowledgment of the down-payment. How do we go about paying for the final unit? Is there a code or something? Thanks all.

On the 16th of march, you will all get an email containing the final proforma invoice.

UAE operators: we'll be at CABSAT Dubai on the 10th to 12th...

Good to see a bit of the new model! Can see now how the straps are used to hang the gimbal on. Overal it looks nice and small, not as big and clunky like the original idea. I think it's good that we would be able to use this without looking too much like a Arnold Schwarzenegger movie. B-)
On a side-note: with all those big camera's on the exhibit floor, how hard would it be to shoot a bit of decent footage of the system in action?

Love the eerie music!

Seriously, thanks for the video and especially, as a Helix owner, for showing it on a Helix!!! The only question that would remain for me, as far as operating goes, is whether you can remove one hand and drop it to the side in "suitcase mode." I can see that you can lower and raise it dramatically in front of you but you couldn't really walk forward in that lowered position.

Right! We didn’t try the briefcase mode in London. But you can of course have the “USHI” (Underslung Soft Hand Interface, [patented]) loops supporting your hands, not directly the gimbal, to go for briefcase mode or hand it over.

Stabilized footage: I meant clean HD footage of the product shot with a 7D on a Helix Jr, not iPhone footage.

Yihaa, hope you can post some footage from the dragon aswell.
