I, for one, am completely aware of this as I have been watching closely since early December. However, it really is a separate matter from the issue swe are discussing. L'Aigle is working within the euro economy so it is, perhaps, the loss of an exchange rate winfall as much as anything else. If the company has concerns about this, perhaps it would be best if they identified them as such and dealt with them directly.
And, consider this: The drop in the exchange rate will make euro products much more attractive on the world market. If you combine the fact that many of the 100 group buy units will be in the U.S. "promoting" this high quality product PLUS it is that much more affordable to U.S. buyers - even at full price - it is a double win for L'Aigle!
While I understand L'aigle and his will to protect its income, your point is valid.
L'aigle is well known in western europe, but not really oustide. The group buy could be a great opportunity for the company.
But, would it be fair to accept only outside EU buyers ? No.
The thing is lots of interest were shown after the 17th, but we were only like 70 to have paid for the exo. Even many alternates didn't commit to the end, though they just had to enter, plce the order, receive the info, and pay on the fly, 10 minutes top. But they didn't.
Wire transfer sure is not as good for insurance, but was doable. the 31st dedline enabled us to go to the upper level of 85. It's already a fine price
If it was a matter of trust, I and many others have been praising about the company, and the trust they could give them. Groupbuyers could and should have paid. L'aigle can't postpon it everytime.
If the whole list were in the group buy, they would have a order of more than 150 people. We don't.
L'aigle probably didn't foresee so much clients before the release and probably don't have the manufacturing resources to fulfill so much, because at the same time, they need to sell in France. And I bet there's a lot of interest here too.
