  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Group Buy: L'Aigle Exoskeleton

There does seem to be a bit of genuine confusion with some people - not due to dragging their feet but a real inability to pay their money. And, insofar as it could effect the pricing for all of us, we all have an incentive to see fairness prevail in these situations. Just my 2 cents.

This is why I suggested a defacto list a few posts ago... just so there would be a name (from the original GB or alt list) linked with either a paid PP or bank xfer (or even 'other').

This would help clarify, IMO. This way. stragglers or those that seem to have fallen through the cracks, can provide info to get back into the GB or re-claim places etc.

I have a feeling we're over 100 if things get sorted/cleared up.

I agree that a lot of people missed out not because they were foot dragging. It is very natural for everyone to not place an order for a special deal on any website until the very last minute, because everything in this industry changes so fast, there is absolutely no incentive to get in a hurry to place an order. And so they wait until the last day, and maybe even the last hours of the day, and they go to place their order, and they are locked out. Again, these are not foot draggers, they are just typical customers of expensive video equipment and deserve some consideration.

If 100 unit price break is not met I'm significantly less interested...

Thank you,

Hey Pierre, sent you an email (replying from your email, not here on reduser) with a question to clarify with the bank. Let me know if you didn't get it but hopefully you can answer quickly and I can complete the deposit Monday. Thanks, Wil.

This is now an accurate outlook of what is coming up...

Kind of reminds me of one of those leaf blowers you wear on your back. :001_smile:

Actually - looks very sleek.

I wouldn't want to sound rude (to anyone who is not part of this GB and passing by - just kidding Daniel).
Now in order to keep this Group Buy straight and neat, I would like to ask everyone who has not placed an order on time to send to Carey and I PM's asking to fill spots if any becomes available.
And please, possibly refrain from asking inside this thread for a seat.
David Carstens offered his seat on board (you will get your refund tomorrow David).

I have not received a refund yet. Feel free to let me contact me with further info.

Looks good. If that wrap around waist plate is metal, maybe add some threaded 1/4-20 holes to allow attaching stuff.

Thought: I could see those hooks on the hips getting caught in something. Could there be a spring loaded closure that would resist opening unless a certain amount of pressure were applied (purposely)? (Or some similar measure to prevent catching. )

Also, how does it actually attach to the hands (or vice versa)?

Weight distribution mostly absorbed by hips with shoulders to steady I hope. Still adjustable to fit different body types? We bigger dudes have to worry about that.

Considering the size of Pierre in the video, I won't be too concerned about that.

Pierre,

The proto in the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hOeLuxm8OIU seems to have more articulation and extension of the arms than the drawings you just posted. Could you clarify the differences and advantages of new design? Is there a hinge on the back that allows for the arms to extend or retract as you had with the double arms in the proto?

Sorry to be such a stickler. As this seems like a radical departure from the proto, aside from size I'm trying to imagine how it'll have the variety of movement that the proto has.

Thanks,

Ned

Ned, Pierre's latest prototype shown here is actually very similar to the drawings.

Personally, I prefer the new design since the last design looked quite bulky.

Hi Ned, you can trust our 20 months experience in testing exoskeletons in every possible configurations and environments. This is really the best possible way of relieving your arms (and wrists, and hands).

Weight distribution mostly absorbed by hips

Exactly. Up to 80% of the load distributed on the pelvic girdle. The shoulder straps mainly stabilize the harness on your back.
The harness is universal from XS to XXXL.
But if you are extremely thin or extremely imposing, just send us a PM with your actual waist size.
