  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Group Buy: L'Aigle Exoskeleton

At this stage, would it make sense to make a new list?

I was number 85 on the original list, now (judging from the outstanding list) that's someone else, so thing have probably got shifted as people dropped out.

However, for the sake of clarity, why not have a new list (not on the front page as that needs to stay for reference - but have a hyperlink from the front page to it under ''final List - important')?

I think many people that paid with Paypal are still unsure of what's going on - and it also looks like there are others who want to pay and have been waiting, so it strikes me that a 'final list' will clarify... and maybe highlight any other problems that will need a quick fix :)

Something like this would be helpful to all, clarify the situation and also make a simple database to reference.

Just an idea.
 
I was on the original list, waiting patiently for the CC option that didn't pan out. I've posted that I did not receive wire instructions, and sent a private message to Pierre as well. No response yet.
 
What can't wiring payment instructions be posted here instead of through personal messages? The PM route doesn't seem to be doing the job.

On Jan 1 I emailed you an equiry, questioning how to make payment because the l'aigle site link was not functioning. I got no response. I posted here following that, asking how can we make payment and the overall response from Carey and redusers was, wait until payment options are sorted.

I have waited and still haven't received any PM with wire details, nor am I on any final list. No bad feelings, Group Buy's have understandable logistic issues. It does however seem that I have slipped through the cracks. I would like to be part of this group buy. If you could forward relevant payment details, that'd would be great...

Paypal will take the risk of taking your payment, but will keep the money for months and months, while things settle down. We would end up paying good money to produce and ship goods for free and wait for 6 months to get our investments refunded at cost price. Wonderful!... This is asking too much.
With a “real” bank and the way international bank conventions are designed, we take the risk of seeing payments just disappear one after the other in april. Doesn’t work neither.

If this is not enough a compensation for you, you are perfectly free to wait a little, pay twice the amount, but deal with a local reseller, like you usually do. Which makes perfeclty sense.
And for us it’s easier to ship one container to big resellers – and even get paid for all the work!!

I don't know if it was lost in translation, but I get an air of impatience with the customers here. Don't be snarky. All they are asking is that they can pay like they do everywhere else, with every other vendor. The only vendor that I ever heard of not accepting credit cards and only accepting wire transfers is Globalmediapro, and they get a huge backlash for it.

Also, in my opinion, L'aigle is getting a good chunk of their R&D done for free by around 100 paying customers. That's a dream for any company. All the extensive on set, everyday testing, with all sorts of different situations will be done by paying customers, and they are not charging L'aigle a dime, so they can get out a perfected version 1.1 after all the feedback.
So I would give the Beta testers a little more respect and maybe work a little harder in finding other payment solutions. Where there's a will, there's a way...

I allow a margin of rudeness from the French due to culture differences, but I'll take a refund of my deposit now.
 
Hi Carey (Pierre)

I paid my deposit before Christmas via Paypal and it went thru ok (number 65 on your list) Today my payment came back my bank haven't paid it, I need to send it again however the link is not up on Pierres I will send the payment as a private payment can you keep my place I will do it today

I know I enjoy new toys and look forward to all of these great products coming our way. I know I am used to going to a web store, say Amazon and two days later I have what I ordered. Just a bit harder on these GB to wait, however in the end I believe it will be worthwhile (18months on the BS4 GB). So hang in there and soon we will be the only kids on the block with a working exoskeleton!!

C'mon, you are able to have this product for nearly -50% off.

The words of Pierre are right, we are able to have this fantastic product for nearly half price and people still not happy with that.

I don't get it either. Maybe that's because I'm french too. It's like the few who were complaining about the bank fees not included in the final price.
In French we say something like : you give an arm, they take the shoulder.

The only thing really missing Pierre is the bank wire instructions for the deposits. And for the balance left.

And L'aigle is getting the testing part of the R&D for free. People want to pay by CC and Pierre is not happy with that...

What ticks me off is that all the costumers want to do is to pay the guy and he's rude about it, explaining how the only way to pay is the convenient way for him to receive, and if you don't wanna do it you can't take a long walk of a short pier...
