  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Group Buy: L'Aigle Exoskeleton

I have no issues with how this group buy has been handled.

Group buys, Kickstarter, Indiegogo are all the same, they are just like investing in the stock market, you are basically gambling and hoping for a return on your investment.

You go into them without any guarantee, knowing full well you may lose everything with no legal recourse for reimbursement.

If you don't won't to shop that way, wait to pay at higher retail prices, via the middle men, with all the legal comforts that system provides, at a price.

I appreciate your sense of adventure but I don't think this GB had quite the level of risk you suggest in this post. L'Agile is an actual going concern with 11+ years in existence; not a hopeful Kickstarter project. The product was shown in a couple of various prototype stages and clearly had promise. Carey was in close conversation with a real, identifiable human being (Pierre, the president of the company) to set this up and both of them carry a good bit of credibility in their respective roles. There were various levels of protection including refundable deposits (from a known, established company with AFAIK, no cash flow issues) and a 14 day return policy (from same, said entity).

If someone decided not to buy for personal reasons or because of choosing a competing product, I get that. But anyone who backed out because it felt like a Kickstarter campaign has never done a Kickstarter campaign.

Personally, I started out a but skeptical but have become convinced over time that this is well worth the money. That said, if it fails to function as expected, I feel safe in that I can return it and lose only shipping costs. I am just sorry we didn't reach the best price level since so many have inexplicably backed out.
 
I think we will reach the best price level once Pierre sort it out with CC options and reach out to the people on the alternative waiting list.
 
Numbers are sadly really low compared to what i was hoping, and compared to what the product deserve. 61 people, from a list of more than 130.

And what is sad too, are critics about that GB, when Carey Is doing its best for us.

I have made the deposit on the first Day, just waiting for the remaining Balance to be paid with CC.
I am glad to be third in line. Thanks Carey, and thanks Pierre.

Seems that way to me too. How is there a final tally already with so many still waiting for an option to pay the deposit?
 
Most of the deposit left are alternates I guess.

The wait for Cc link is mostly for the due balance. Deposit are refundable... You pay it to secure your place in the line. After that Nothing stops you from paying the whole price of the product on your CC (so 2000€, for insurance), and then ask for the 374€ deposit refund. That's what I will do.

Bank transfering 374€ is not the end of the world.
 
I do want to note that I was thinking of getting on this yesterday when it said the buy had been extended to Jan 5th, but then I wake up today and find that it was closed suddenly for some reason. Not sure what happened that it closed 3 day early.

Okay, Paypal finally refunded my deposit into my Visa. Now the question is can I pay the deposit and/or full amount via Credit Card with L'Aigle? Let me know the next steps. Thanks, Wil

To clarify, we have 96 paid deposits.
 
Its 01/04, we should be talking about shipping dates as promised. Please accept my sincere apology however I must avoid to become a victim as BS4 or View factor's client.
Can we please leave this Deposit request behind, simply cut these violators (and post their name to save this community) who didn't pay. Please understand, I can't support their foul habits.
 
Correct me if I am wrong, but the deadline to join the groupbuy was extended to Jan 5th due to the paypal chaos. I think many people, including me, counted on that. However, the payment link disappeared after Dec 31st. The only available payment method now is a bank wire while most banks were closed for the new year holidays. I am on the alternative waiting list so i cannot even make the deposit until mid December when the paypal chaos happened. I am not asking to extend the group buy but for the people who are on the list (first and second) and still want to pay the payment, it should be allowed until Jan 5th.

Unpaid deposits Will have no effect on the lead time whatsoever.
 
Sorry if this question is already answered... We received Paypal refund for 2 units... No info since that.
Should we continue waiting or there is a alternate payment method working for us ?
Wire transfer ?

I will really appreciate some help here.

That was my interpretation of the extension, too, although I did not read the statement like a lawyer. Would like to know who read the statement about the extension as it was intended to be read?
