Group Buy: L'Aigle Exoskeleton

After creating and account first, my transaction seems to have gone through without a hitch. I guess I am committed. And my place in line is secure!

Gentlemen (and lady) you cannot move up in line by paying your deposit early. This has been clearly stated on page one from the beginning of this group buy. The final list is the order in which units will be shipped.

Please have patience with the payment system. I have made Pierre aware of the issue.

They need to take video of the CAD screen of the movement of this system going from the operating position into the "Jet pack" storage configuration.

The fact that you can store the arms securely is so awesome. I think the only time I'll take this thing off is for location changes and lunch.

Wow, you guys in LA must be working really hard thru the other meals...:-) btw, my paypal went thru except that the checkout sequence is very French to me...

So will the final price be 1870 €?....or we won;t know until the all the deposits are made?

I'm confident it will be 1870 €.

We have 25 alternates waiting to take the spots of anyone who drops out.

I don't see many people dropping out of this group buy. Everyone who owns a gimbal, needs one of these. I know a lot of names on the list and this is a group of solid guys who always follow through.

If 25% drop out, we're still good.

Don't worry, you'll get your exoskeleton at 1870 €

If not, you can always drop out, but the odds are heavily in our favor.

Habitual Group Buyer here... LOL.

A new condition maybe? Hi, I'm Andy - I have HGBS.

(Habitual Group Buyer Syndrome).

Carey, don't want to be a pain in the butt - but what happened to the "A 20% (refundable) deposit will be due within 7 days of the time I display the pics of the final production model."? 3D renders can hardly be considered pics. I thought that the purpose of the pics was to show that the product is indeed finalized, production samples made (and well tested) and we would just now wait for the actual production to roll out. I am myself going through this exact process with my own product. I had 3D designs months ago. After careful testing of prototype - that resulted in some major changes to the product - I went ahead with manufacture of first production samples. And having gone through all that I am now getting feedback from these production samples that are causing me to evaluate the possibility of some additional changes. What I am trying to say is that there is "long way" between 3D renders and actually having the "real" final product that will ship to my customers. If at all possible I would like to see a hands on feedback from someone outside of the manufacturer (ideally from within our community) after they tried the actual final production sample. Pictures should then also be of no issue to take and post...

Just my two yen...

Pierre has been in business 11 years. The prototype is very similar to the CAD rendering. He has made it clear that he is confident that he can meet the January deadline.

This is how it's going down. I can only do so much. I trust that Pierre will have the final production unit ready by January. He seems like a very stand up guy, a man of his word.

We can only wait and see.

If it does take longer than anticipated, you have three choices:

1. Get a refund.

2. Wait it out.

3. Get a refund and go purchase one of the many other Exoskeletons on the market... oh wait, there are none.

Personally, I'll wait. But it's totally up to you. You also have a fourth option.

4. Drop out of the group buy and let an alternate take your place.

Lots of options in this group buy. No one is holding anyone's feet to the fire and forcing them to do anything. This is how a group buy should be handled. You, the customer, are in control of your own destiny.

OK, Here's the solution to making your payment. You must go into the "EDIT ADDRESS" on the L'Aigle website and choose your STATE. For some reason, paypal info is not transferring the state information in your address and that voids the entire order and creates an error.

Deposit/Payment was made without error after updating the address.

Good work Lee, thanks!

For anyone in the US who has paid their deposit: were you charged any PayPal commissions or credit card foreign transaction fees?

I used a Travelex Multi-currency Cash Passport (free prepaid card for US Bank customers). I charged it to the card in Euros (which I had pre-loaded on it). I had no Paypal fees, just the 374 Euro charge.

Paid using Paypal Buyer Credit. No fees in the transaction and I assume they won't post a fee later. Fair market exchange rate, $1 USD equalled about .78 euro. ($476.93 USD)

Thanks Lee, good sleuthing ! got my payment to go through.
Aloha
