  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Group Buy: L'Aigle Exoskeleton

I guess the natural question is this: Why is it restricted to only 100 buyers? I mean, it would seem to me to be pretty much of a more-the-merrier sort of game, but what do I know?

There is a balance between getting sales and good PR while giving up a lot of margin on the GB sales. If 1870 becomes the "normal" price, the profitability of the product is much less.
 
No one here can estimate what the retail price will be. The price structure the group buy was based upon was for an entirely different design. The price of the new unit could be higher or lower based upon revised material cost and labor costs. But most new product pricing will always be based upon what the market can bear.

I don't think anyone can argue that a higher price means a higher per unit margin, no matter what the cost. :smiley:

Maybe I misinterpret what your writing, but the pre-order price until Dec 31 is 2215,50 € for a Exoskeleton "G".

A message to all the alternates: do not pay your deposit on the pre-order special yet. Give me a few days to tally the numbers and see where we're at with paid deposits from the top 100. I sent a request to Pierre to see if we can do something special for the alternates if and when the top 100 pay their deposits.

I will update this thread periodically with the number of deposits from the top 100 that have been paid.

If you're an alternate, just sit tight until things shake out over the next several days.

This tool looks amazing but other priority came out.
 
Latest Update:

- We agreed on 7 days to send in deposits. We will tally the numbers of deposits received on the evening of December 17th.

- From the 18th forward, alternates will be allowed to enter the game and fill spots and pay their deposits.

- From December 18th through December 31st, anyone in the top 100 who hasn't paid their deposit will slip to the bottom of the top 100 list, but will still have a chance to get in.

- On the 1st of january, we will count the number of deposits and know the final Group Buy price according to the number of commited buyers. At this point, anyone who hasn't paid their deposit will be out of this Group Buy.

Hi Carey,

I am not sure if I understand everything well (cause I am just wake up :o), but as I understood, alternate will deposite the 18 december and become a part of the group buy ? Or we deposite and still waiting a cancelation from the 100 users list ?
