Thanks for the effort on this Chris. Dinked around with mine for a bit and pretty happy with the whole thing.

Hot tip for those who have carts incoming.

The short mast can indeed be left on the long or short crossbars when locking up your Scout EVO 37 depending on how you configure it.

Only thing I need to remove is the tripod hook and horshoe/bowl plate, of course the wheels as well.

It stows quick and tidy.

The new leg mechanism is great. Plastic worries me occasionally, but if anything truly horrific happens it looks like I can take apart and fix anything on this bad boy without much hassle. That's good to know because I'll need to clean mine every so often. Especially if there's more desert shooting in my future.

My Scout 37 arrived yesterday and the quality of the machined parts is top notch. My business partner, Tyler, once worked for a company that machined aircraft parts for Boeing planes and he was impressed with the quality of the parts, which I consider high praise.

I do wonder what it will cost to carry this on the plane with me. The box weighed 84 lbs according to FedEx shipping. Love the red anodizing. I ended up just getting the ball mount kit for my camera. Eventually I do want to get mounts for a display or two.

Sadly, Scout 37 arrived today bent in transit by FedEx. Handle end had been pushed in, misaligning the vertical posts.

Day saved by Patrick from Inovativ, who quickly called after receiving pics of the damage. He is sending a replacement and will try to do battle with FedEx after the fact.

Sad to hear about your damaged cart B...but glad Patrick is on it so quickly and immediately sending a replacement. Just goes to show the kind of company Inovativ is!

Not sure how reality is playing out compared to original shipping expectations, but early GB projections were for batches of 20 going out at roughly 2 week intervals. My cart in batch #1 went out on 6/7....

Yea, they are trying to get out batches of 20-25 every 2 weeks. They should be sending another batch here shortly.

Just a data point here, folks. I was number 26 on the list and just got notice that my unit shipped. Due here in northern California on Monday. I guess the second batch is going out.
