  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Yes "Local Control" allows for all DMX controls including addressing DMX. It also allow for enabling wireless DMX. It also allows for control over Saturation, Hue, Output, CCT, Effects, Sources and White Light Profiles.

Yes international customers can purchase through Abel, but there will be some additional costs, please see advice from AbelCine on this below:

"All VAT expenses and Customs fees are the responsibility of the customer. There will most likely be additional fees once the shipment goes through Customs, and they will need to research to find out what is required from their government. Additionally, we only ship via Fedex for International orders. Which sometimes can be pricey."

1) Is there a speed ring that will work with both the Pancake AND the Octa-box? Or do we need to purchase two separate rings?

2) I thought that I read somewhere that this double-bracket has the holes for soft boxes... but now I can't seem to find that. Am I dreaming? If it can, which boxes is it compatible with? Would love to push multiple lights (3-4) through the 5' octa... if you're making future plans :)

3) I'm interested in getting the 3' octa-box with grid, but I don't see the grid in your catalogue. Can I purchase that through Hive?

Lantern:

4pt Speedring and our Pancake or Lantern softboxes.

Octobox:

I would use our 8pt speedring with our 3' Octagonal Softbox or the 24" Beauty Dish with the front diffusion in, and the target removed.

Yes you can use the 8pt Speed Ring for both the Pancake and the Octabox.

You are not dreaming! Yes the double header mount can be used with softboxes but only rectangular softboxes we recommend our Extra Small, Small and Medium Softboxes.

To get the grid you would have to purchase that directly from Chimera or through a Chimera dealer, so unfortunately not part of the group buy.

So shipping, and sales tax etc. will be handled directly by Abel, but please see below for basic info:

Sales Tax: Abel is required to charge sales tax in any state that we have a location, any customers in California, Illinois, and New York will be charged sales tax.

Shipping Fees: Abel offers Fedex Ground Shipping to any States in the Continental U.S. Any other expedited shipping fee will be quoted to the customer, and all International Shipping is through Fedex and will be quoted to the customer as well. If the customer has their own Fedex or UPS shipping account they can provide it instead.

International Sales: All VAT expenses and Customs fees are the responsibility of the customer. There will most likely be additional fees once the shipment goes through Customs, and the customer will need to research to find out what is required from their government. Additionally, Abel only ships via Fedex for International orders.
