After a bit of discussion we've found a way to do produce a Group Buy for the eMotimo ST4 + Dana Dolly!

Group Buy Details
This Group Buy covers either the eMotimo ST4 w/ DD Integration Kit ($3499) on it's own or both the eMotimo ST4 kit plus a Dana Dolly Rental Kit ($1285) which gives you a full 4-axis solution. Both kits would be $4,784 on their own.


My Quick Thoughts on the eMotimo ST4 + DD Setup
I've been using this kit for a while now, see here, and it's capable of holding a decent camera/lens payload.

You can use RED DSMC or DSMC2 bodies on there with a decent sized lens. Most of my rigs land in the 16lb range, but I've had 22lbs on there and it looked good. Beyond that it's super damn fast to setup and get going. I've gotten it down to a 10-15 minute rig. The ST4 can handle live action and timelapse moves, but the tremendous thing about some of the live action modes is you have a very quiet motion control setup that you can literally roll audio near, in fact that's what the shot above was all about.

Updated the current participants, we're already at 13, so we're still in Tier 1, close to Tier 2. Spread the word on this if you can, it's not often you see something like a 20% or 25% discount on equipment like this.

Will the eMotimo ST4 work with a Kessler Shuttle dolly?

It should, likely need some universal clamp. Brian should chime in on this. You can likely use this with any slider as long as the payload isn't super heavy.

How long (distance) of a move can you do with this setup?

As long as the belt you use, but I imagine slack becomes a factor and very, very long moves. I can handle 9-12 feet with the kit provided.
