  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

It has nothing to do with what number in the group buy list, but when you placed your order. Orders are shipped in the order they are placed.
 
got an email saying they shipped out my follow focus, just waiting on tracking # very excited :)

Yea, you should get it tomorrow for that first wave of shipments. More should come this week!

Ive been late to send my payment as I can't quite figure out all the bits I will need to use these. Im a stills guy who is buying an FS7 (don't shoot me!), so I'm a bit green with this stuff.

what do i need to power the lens motors? i can get sony bp batteries that d-tap, will this do? will i need to add a special cord to do this on my order?

also, is there an inbuilt battery in the hand controller? or do i need to buy a sony battery plate for that?

any other bits will i need to add to run canon cn-e lenses on a sony fs7?

Yes, I'm using it with an FS7 too.

It comes with a D-tap cable.You can order another as a backup if you wish.

I had the same question. If you read above you'll see Chris says the internal battery lasts for about 20 hours (did I get that right?). You charge with a USB cable. I ordered the Sony battery plate as backup, but I think this is overkill. You could buy a portable USB power source (Again as a backup) for much less than that.

Obviously, your lenses have to have gears, but you said Cine, so undoubtedly they do. You also need the Sony start/start controller. For only $50, I kept the red controller in the order in case I ever want to rent it.

You can power the motor off of D-Tap if you have a battery that has that output. You could also power off of Lipos (which is what I'm currently doing for gimbal work), but you would need to pick up this cable if you're powering off a JST lipo: http://store.freeflysystems.com/collections/movi-accessory/products/freefly-battery-to-2-pin-lemo

There is a battery built into the controller...rated at 20 hours, though it's always best to have one of those cheap USB batteries hooked to it so you never have to worry.

For your EF lenses, you're going to want to pick up some of these (they have different ones for different lens sizes: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008BBRCM4/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Hopefully Steven will chime in...I don't work for Cinegears so I have no idea what's going on with shipments. Steven has tried to keep me updated with things. I'm sure you'll all be receiving tracking numbers shortly if you haven't already.

Hi , i ordered my express plus kit 3 days back and have not got any confirmation email or even an invoice saying my order is placed. im a bit worried. I sent PMs but i think there must be a tons of PMs and thought of inquiring here. any updates ? i just want to know if my order is placed, credit card is charged.

Steven and Cinegears are tops when it comes to delivering the goods.

I am sure with the holidays and of course the huge list from this GB might slow things down.
 
All i need is the tracking number to arrange to be around as with holiday season its going to be hectic.
Ive also not received an update with the actual tracking number, not sure why ,on the invoice and confirmation of dispatch it just says temp.
I emailed couple days ago, as of yet no reply.
 
Guys, please have some patience. You will get the product. Cinegears is a great company. They are moving product out the door as fast as they can. Steven said that he's crossing fingers that all orders that have been placed will be shipped by the end of the week.

Thanks for the update. i have not got any confirmation email yet from cinegears. im skeptical if my order is even placed. can i get in touch with steven to get an update ? my credit card is charged for the same.
