  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Oh, and Steven is trying to get orders out asap. They are still waiting on some lemo parts for the red trigger. What he might do is ship out the systems without the RED Trigger (that will follow very shortly as they are projected to get the parts in a couple of days), so that way you guys can get these in your hands.
 
do you know when they will start giving tracking numbers out? Has anyone got theirs yet?
 
Steven said about 20 units will go out today. The RED trigger will ship in 1 week.



Also, in terms of paying..all fees were supposed to be due by this coming Sunday. Steven wants to extend this until Dec 24 at 9pm EST. That way it gives more people time to come up with the funds. All units should then ship before the end of the year for those last minute orders.
 
I'm ready to pull the trigger, just can't decide if I want the high torque motors or not.... #1stworldproblem
 
If you have any doubt, get the bigger motor. The standard motor would have trouble with anything like a set of super speeds. That is, unless they have changed the motor.

Just spoke to Steven at DIYfilmtools and he told me that I can go with the Standard motor and if I find it's not good enough I can always upgrade it for just the $300 plus some shipping. Apparently the HT motor is a little bit louder and draws more power, so he recommends trying the standard first.

Unless you know for sure youll be working with big lens this is best practise.

Ive tested mine on all the RPP even on the Zooms using my single and it handles them well.

We use an RT for the RPPs at work with the RED ONE but I am more than happy with my personal Cinegears kit for my Scarlet and Rokinons set :)

Yea, this kit is really unbeatable for the price, even outperforming others that cost a lot more.

Chris is this payment extension until the 24th definite? I am trying to push through a Purchase Request for the college (and they move at a snail's pace). The extra time would definitely make the difference.

Steven said that 22 units were shipped today...those tracking numbers will all be provided on Monday.

Some me accessories aren't getting shipped (red trigger) as it's not yet ready, but they will come on a second shipment round which will be very soon.

All orders haven't come in yet, so be sure to place it if you haven't already.
