  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Group Buy - Cinegears Ghost Eye Wireless

Tried to order a single receiver for the 150M - code "Cinegears" doesn't work. Assuming you have to order the full system. Thanks for the effort Chris.

They fixed the issue. Should work now Kirby.
 
Mine arrived today via USPS (Really surprising considering it's a holiday)

Early results indicate I am going to be very pleased with the 150m.

Ran it for over 5 hours today on a single Sony NP-F970 Battery.

Does anyone know if the enhanced antennas are compatible with the 150m?

If so do they improve range/punch through wall capability?

We are glad you liked it, Matt! Unfortunately we won't be able to run another group-buy on the 150M in the foreseeable future, but if we do we will be certain to announce it loud and clear!

My 150m has been so solid, LOVE IT, bought it and went directly on a month feature, flawless
 
Sorry to bump this thread, but has anybody else not yet received their Cinegears from DIYFILMTOOL? I ordered over a month ago, and it seems that they've gone dark. They are not responding to my e-mails, I've called multiple times a day and I am hung up on every single time. I'm ready to dispute this with my credit card.

The group buy ended a long time ago, so this really isn't the proper place for it, but DIY film tools should take care of you. If they don't respond this week, dispute the claim.

Thanks for the advice. I did actually place the order during the group buy, CINEGEARS code, which is why I thought I would start here to inquire if anybody else in the group buy had not received their's yet since, like you said, it ended a long time ago.

It should arrive today! I have responded more in depth via email, as well. Our new v2 Ghost-Eye kits have been tremendously popular, and we are always working to be able to increase production.

Just wanted to reply here as well to let others know you all didn't actually go dark. :thumbsup:
 
Check out the 400M V2 range test! While the standard out-of-the-box antennas gave us a full 1000 meters (3280ft), extended range antennas gave us a truly phenomenal performance



The 400M gave us just over 1000 meters with the standard antennas (which come in a hugely discounted 8-pack now).
The 1.6~ kilometer range came when we equipped the TX and RX with the new 15" extended range antennas (also in an 8-pack).

Keep in mind that these ranges are omnidirectional. At the 1.6km range, there can easily be a 2nd RX unit set up 1.6km on the other side of the transmitters or anywhere within a 1.6km radius of the TX (i.e., an effective 2 mile diameter).
