  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Group Buy: Budget CRI 95 LED Strip Lights

The first 100 controllers have arrived at the warehouse and are being processed now (SKUs, etc). They should be ready to start shipping tomorrow. 100 more will arrive early next week, and 700 more a week after that.

CONGRATULATIONS, Brandon!

Thanks, guys!

IMPORTANT: Please send your SHIPPING ADDRESS and PHONE NUMBER to
confirmyourshippingaddress@gmail.com

Please, only send it to this email address.

I just received 100 more controllers today at the warehouse. We will be blasting these out all week next week! Get your shipping address confirmations to me ASAP!

Oh, and I have a dozen or so rolls of variable strips in the US ready to ship. If you want a couple rolls PM me your email address and the number you want.

Congrats on starting to get the controllers out en-mass. Just sent my shipping address confirmation.

A couple of questions.

Will the Solaris controllers ship with the 'DPWR-Desktop Power Supply' units that were part of the original order?

Also, for customs and tax purposes, will the value of the individual Solaris controllers be stated as USD127.92 (USD249 - USD121.08 Reduser Group Buy Discount)?

Thanks, Les.

Yes, they will be processed at the same time, but won't go out in the same shipments, and there may be a day or two difference in ship dates.

Prices won't be listed as more than what you paid for customs purposes, no worries. For any more details on that, you'll need to write me directly.

One quick thing, everyone. I have a massive number of orders to fulfill and it's a manual process. I will email you with the shipping charges when they are calculated for your order. You don't have to keep emailing me every day to make sure I got your email. I will reply when I have calculated your charges and your order is ready to ship. Also, don't forget to email me your shipping address AND phone number ONLY to this address: confirmyourshippingaddress@gmail.com.

Thanks!

137 controllers have shipped so far, in total. I'm going through all your confirmation emails, replying with the shipping costs, and then getting them sent out. It will take 3-4 days for them to arrive in the US.

Everything seems to be running smoothly, so I'm going to start speeding things up a bit. The 163 units I have remaining should all be out by Thursday. The next shipment of 700 units should arrive by late this week or early next.

Controllers and GB Power Supplies (not Power Units) will all be shipped by the 8th, sooner if everyone pays for their shipping quickly. The last of the GB strips should start shipping around then and be done within a week or so. The Pocket Power Supplies are all shipping out immediately.

If you have not sent me your shipping address AND phone number, please send it here: confirmyourshippingaddress@gmail.com. I'm confirming everyone's address before shipping because so many have changed and the last thing we need is a bunch of packages going to the wrong place.

This is the last call for Mat and Power Unit upgrades. If you are looking for a few more variable rolls, I have a little left.

That's the latest.

I've confirmed/updated the addresses of everyone that has emailed me at confirmyourshippingaddress@gmail.com, as instructed. Your controllers will all be going out in a few days, as soon as the last shipment of controllers arrives, and I will get back to you with the shipping costs.

79 people have not confirmed their shipping addresses yet. If you are one of those, please get back to me ASAP at the above address.

Thanks!

Alright, shipping has been calculated for 92 more people, which comes to 296 more controllers. I've already started sending out PayPal requests for shipping, which I should finish this batch in a couple days. It's all a time-consuming manual process, so please bear with me. Oh, and 75 more people need to confirm their addresses still. If you are one of them, please send me your shipping address and phone number here: confirmyourshippingaddress@gmail.com

I have to say, it feels pretty damn good to see all these orders going out. It's been a long time coming.

I have not finished sending out the shipping details for the controllers and power supplies to everyone. I still should have it done by the end of business the 8th. Once that's done, I will finish with the last of the upgrades.

I also found out today the last shipment of controllers won't be until the 15th. Everything is running slow because of the holidays.

If you haven't gotten a reply from me about shipping yet, you should have it by the end of the day on the 8th.

It's not personal. I am buried in work getting the controllers and power supplies out. The last of the Group Buy strips will start shipping again in about 10 days.

A family emergency came up, which put me back a few days. I'm back to work today on finishing up these controller shipments. So far, 192 have shipped. I'm also trying to fast-track the 12V Power Unit upgrades for you guys. I'll have more news on that in a day or two.

It’s been a looong time coming, but here is a completed light fixture made with our very own light strips. This is setup is for a low-footprint, retractable light for an occasional livestream setup within a store. The frame is made out of 8ft x 8ft angled wood running4 tungsten strips to a single controller.
I want to thank Brandon Fowler for helping me with the strategy for this customized light, and for putting up with all of my messages at all hours of the day seeking his help. The client is absolutely thrilled, and the quality of light this produces is beyond expectations!!

How are you guys handling the voltage drop if you are powering the whole 5m strip? I did a test and put it around aluminum tube, to act like a bulb... If I feed it with 12.0V, I get only 8V at the end of the strip, resulting in very low light output at the end of the strip.
If I increase voltage to achieve 12V at the end, I'll probably fry the LEDs at the start of the strip.
