  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

You heard that right, the controller production run starts Monday!

I am wiring over half of the last payment right now, and they will begin the process. I will be posting pictures as things progress with assembly.

The manufacturer will make all 1,000 controllers and then send me the first 100 units. Once I verify everything is correct the first 100 will ship out to you guys, then I make the final payment to the manufacturer, and the remaining 900 units will be on the way.

This is a massive relief. Very excited!

Hey, Bryan! Things are moving along as expected so far. I approved the printing on the 12th. Waiting for the parts to come in so they can start building. I have my tickets booked to go back to the US, so I'm there when the controllers arrive. It's still a few weeks out. I will know more in a couple of days.

I added you to the Facebook group just now. I thought you were already in it. :)

Question, do the ones that paid at initial order get on the first order list?

Here are the cosmetic changes that were made to the controller:

The most important are that I decided to color code the terminals to make things more clear for everyone. The power input terminals are now clearly red (+) and black (-) instead of being all green. Functionality-wise, I have gotten them to beef up the thermal protection and diodes to protect against accidentally crossing the voltage from the power source (connecting a negative to a positive and vice versa). It was always there, but I want to be sure it can handle up to 960 watts.

The most exciting thing is about the RGB functionality. In addition to the normal RGB color mixing, we will be able to make HSI / HSL / HSV adjustments via the SDK (future iOS app). This will allow DS/Color grading style color mixing, color gel simulation, etc. Super cool!

I got a little behind yesterday with getting the upgrade options online. Working on that now.

Oh, and first carbon frames are being fast-tracked for the mats. A couple people want to use them with mats for upcoming features they are shooting, so they became a priority. It's a very small run, but I'm making a few extra that I will throw online this weekend. I'll post the link here.

Do you want a pound of flesh to go with your refund? The controllers are being made as we speak and will ship next month. You know this, and you know why there's been this delay as well. Please, kindly, stop.

Hey Brandon, I emailed you at your koraled back on the 16th April and haven't got a response. I was asking about adding a controller and some other things to my order and you haven't responded or updated my order. What is the best way to contact you?
