  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Group Buy: Budget CRI 95 LED Strip Lights

Thanks for consolidating all that for everyone, James.

Even if the final payment was already sent we would be waiting right now because of the holidays. It's going to be a couple weeks regardless. In that time we will sell of the rest of the controllers. I'm totally confident of that.

I'm about 8-10 hours away from having imported all the orders for everyone that has logged in and updated their contact information. Once I'm done I'm going to reach out again to the people that haven't replied. If you are reading this and you haven't added your contact info yet, please do it as soon as you can so it doesn't delay things.

I have a list of people to contact who told me they were interested in a second group buy, and I'm going to contact them as soon as I finish importing orders. If that doesn't get us there, I'll take the password off the site and make it public so we can all share it on social media. I just need to get the orders imported and a couple things on the site finished off. It's nearly done.

That we pre-sold 800+ of these in a group buy is insane. They exceed the original spec, have been tested hard, and are rock solid. Now that I have my health back, thanks in large part to many of you, things are moving fast. We will be where we need to be by the time the holidays are over.

You'll get swamped if you make it public before the Group Buy orders are fulfilled. With lights and controllers of that quality, at that price, you'd be better off keeping access somewhat limited until you've got all known and unforeseeable bugs ironed out of your manufacturing/sales/supply chain. You can expect very little to no tolerance or patience from the general public if things don't run smoothly, regardless of the reason. Just my opinion of course, but I'd recommend getting this Group Buy/beta phase done before going full retail and upping the price or introducing more products and putting the reputation of your business on the line.

Yeah, I agree. It's only last resort if we are still short. It will be limited number of products and clearly marked as Pre-Order (and thus temporarily discounted).
 
Finally, I'm done! If you added your shipping info, your orders have been imported...

BUT

I'm still waiting on 98 people to send me their shipping address and phone number. If you haven't sent it to me yet, please email or PM it to me ASAP.

It will take me 3 full days to import everything for the last 98 of you, so please hurry.

I will also start sending out emails about this now.

thank you for all your efforts!
On the KoraLED site you mention practicals and LED DIY LED Mats, so far I don't see any infromation on those. Could you please post some. I'm curious to learn more!

Yes, the manufacturer's holidays just ended today.

I have not been able to finish importing all the orders yet. I'm still waiting on a lot of people to send me their shipping addresses, so I'm going through old shipment records and emailing them asking for a confirmation that their address hasn't changed. It's a slow process. I've spent over 90 hours doing just data entry needed to organize and import the orders, so far. There are also a lot of logistics issues I've been making a lot of progress on.

Once this is done, there will be a last call for controllers at the discounted price.

There will also be LED mat upgrades, tubes, new next-gen RGB options, practicals, etc.

Right now the controller production run is penciled in to start late next week.

I'm checking this page minimum 6 times a day to see if there is some updates since you post that message. I don't want to rush you if it's not ready Brandon, I'm just excited.
But if you have some news (even small one) I would love to hear them.

The tubes are up, the power supplies are up and the mats (and upgrades) are coming. I'll email you the links to them.
 
I don't see the newly added items on the site....???
