  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Group Buy: Budget CRI 95 LED Strip Lights

Thank you Brandon for keeping us updated. You have done an amazing work. I understand that some might give you a hard time because of the "delay" but I rather have a rock solid product in my hands that I don't need to be shipping overseas back to you. Better to test things and be 100% sure before starting the production. You and we cannot afford mistakes at the final stage and re-run the production. And like you said, the product has some great features added to it which has caused the "delay". I'm more than happy to exercise my patience in order to get this upgraded controller in my hands. Compared to my LiteGear's sum of order I'll save a whopping 50%. So thank you and keep up the good work!

Hey Carey,
Totally understand your frustration, everybody is deservedly fatigued by the time this has taken, and will continue to take. It's especially painful because resolution seems so very close. Nobody is more aware of these issues than Brandon. So in the spirit of empathy, perhaps you might give the drum you've been banging a rest? I'm not looking to start a war, rather we'd be better off staying positive and constructive.

What drum beat? I genuinely found something funny. I empathize with Brandon. He's bitten off way more than I would be able to chew. Much respect to Brandon.

How is the manufacturer doing with creating the finished samples? Hopefully very soon they'll be in your hands and be ready to rumble! Can't wait.

Is there somewhat of a plan/timeline estimation of what the next steps entail assuming this batch is legit?

Thanks Brandon!

Yes, I want to echo this as it would be great to get a new estimate based on the finished sample.
Thanks Brandon.

The latest is the components are on order, assembly of the samples should start next week, and I cancelled my chemotherapy / stem cell transplant date yesterday so that there's time to finish this Group Buy before I'm out of commission for a few months. Hopefully I can get a new treatment date this year. Once I have the samples in hand, I'll have a better idea about the timeline.

I'd say chemotherapy and stem cell transplants might be a hair more important than finishing a product which just crossed over two years of development.

Get your treatment, people have waited two years, what's another few months.

Or, hand this to someone who can complete it for you.

David

Absolutely! Don't risk your health over some lights. We have done without them our whole lives and are still getting work done. We can wait.

Yeah, take care of your self. A few rolls of DIY LEDs ain't going to make or break anyone.

:iagree:

I really think you need to have somebody step in and help you

Thanks guys, but it's not that simple, unfortunately. I don't have the money I need for the treatment and insurance doesn't cover it. I'm way, way in red from this Group Buy and, as it stands now, even if I sell all my gear, I'm still short what I need. Fingers crossed I don't get knocked to the back of the line. It's normally a 2-3 year wait to get this treatment done.

There's nothing for anyone else to do right now. Once controllers are ready to ship, I hope to have someone help manage getting everything shipped out. That's when extra help would speed things up a lot.

Hey Brandon,

Hope all is well. Just a friendly checkin on the manufacturer getting you the latest controllers. We're beyond the 7-10 day delivery estimation. Thank you.

I just posted this update on Facebook:

Update: The manufacturer is still waiting on a few components to come in for the 6 final samples. I should have the these controllers in hand late next week.

As per always, assembly goes quick once all the components arrive.
