  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Group Buy: Budget CRI 95 LED Strip Lights

I am selling my order. I have the following on order:

Four (4) V120CRI95-5m variable 120 CRI95 Strip Lights = $79.00/piece x 4 = $316.00
Four (4) VCTRL- Flicker Free Variable Strip Controller (upgraded version) = $127.92/piece x 4 = $511.68
Four (4) VCKIT Variable Connecter Kit = $9.00/piece x 4 = $36.00
Four (4) DPWR Desktop Power Supply = $29.00/piece x 4 = $116.00

The entire package basically consists of everything you need to operate four (4), variable strip lights for the total amount of $979.68. Whoever is interested can PM me or email me at taylorgirard@gmail.com and I can transfer ownership of the order. Hollar with any questions!
 
Here's another behind the scenes shot of that helium balloon:

The balloon was inflated to just under six feet and has one roll of LEDs inside. It's a work in progress and they want to add another roll or two of lights.

You already have your controller?
 
I do not. I haven't requested my lights either so they are all still on order. It'll be a straight transfer of ownership of the order.

I have Skype call with the manufacturer tomorrow. I'll post an update after I talk with them. The manufacturer is testing a couple things and they should be done now. The controllers seem to be good to go.

Congratulations. It's been a long road but I am looking forward to getting these things and playing around with them.
 
The Skype chat went well. There are 2 PCB versions that I've been testing (the PCB changes in the latest version with RGBW functionality will be rolled back to the previous build, which more than doubles the capacity when running off batteries) and we decided which to go with today. They are making a half dozen finished samples now for me which will take 7-10 days to finish off. The tests we have done the last couple weeks have really expanded the knowledge base of information I'll be sharing with you guys once these are ready to go out. The benefits and drawbacks of various wiring methods, how to get the most out your batteries, how best to run a heavy load off batteries, etc. The tests have also given me several ideas for various connectors and rigging methods that make things move very fast on set for you.

Yeah, it's a been a very long road. The controllers are rock solid and greatly exceed the original spec. I can't wait to get these out to all of you.

I have a film set for mid 2017... do you think it's likely I'll get my 2 controllers I ordered by then? I was the 17th person to order them. Thanks!

Are there some people scheduled to receive normal version? Thought its a buy-in to the same product spec for everyone, whether normal or upgraded, what spec am I getting Brad?
