  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Group Buy: Budget CRI 95 LED Strip Lights

The manufacturer is testing the controllers with different battery solutions under various loads right now. This is the last bit of testing left.

I need to finish organizing a few things tonight and then I'll post a big update tomorrow.
 
I thought all the testing was done ? I must have miss read.

It was until they decided this should be more thoroughly tested before shipping just to be sure there won't be problems. With hardware you have to test for every eventuality before shipping product.
 
If you do another group buy, I'd be interested. As far as making the litemat sort of deals - is there a way to run all those presumably cut strips daisy chained to each other? You'd have to cut them to keep them lying flat I'd think. And is there a limit to how long a strip you can run on one variable controller/d-tap?

5 meters is the longest a run of lights can be, but the controllers have 4 channels, so with single color strips you can use 20m (4 x 5m) or ~65 feet. You'll need a power supply that can handle it all though.

With a d-tap you'll max out with 5m total. You're limited by how many amps the battery can handle.

I cant seem to find an invoice anywhere.
I am sure its some email but I cant pin point it.
I know Im in the top 25 or so.
I do have proof of purchase on credit card statements.
Just cant find invoice.
And it wasnt stated on delivery pacakge.

I am in a similar situation as Eric. Perhaps not as early but definitely in the very first round of the original group buy. Sent a few messages but no reply. Just curious where I am in the delivery que once everything starts to ship.

I really hope I'm not going to have everyone write me now asking to look up their invoices. I'll never get anything else done. :)
 
Thanks Brandon. I know you have been swamped and all kinds of complications and in the end a much better product it was just the lack of a reply to previous messages. I just haven't had time to keep up with this thread..

Late 2014 and lights started shipping in early 2015. Hundreds of orders have been shipped.

The controllers have taken 16 months, but are done, finally. They weren't even part of the original Group Buy.

I'm working on an update.

I can understand waiting for the new controllers that weren't even made when the group buy started (and that most of us actually chose to get developed), but I'd still like to get the other parts of my order that I asked to get separately back in May and September of 2015 and March of 2016.

The original order (Invoice#0051) was for -

V120CRI95 -- 5m Variable 120 CRI95 Strip Lights - 4
VCTRL ------- Flicker Free Variable Strip Controller - 4
DPWR ------- Desktop Power Supply - 4
PKIT --------- Power Kit - 2
VCKIT ------- Variable Connector Kit - 2

The Solaris Controller upgrade order was Invoice#0362 (Paid 3rd March 2015).

Is it possible to get invoiced for shipping of Invoice#0051 (Paid 14th Dec 2014) and have that order sent before the Solaris controllers start going out?
