  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Group Buy: Budget CRI 95 LED Strip Lights

I posted this on Facebook the other day:

Quick Update: The enclosures we were waiting on arrived and now the printing is being done. I will have the first finished controllers in hand next week. I will shoot demos with them immediately to show everyone. And by "finished" I mean the final printing, packaging, etc.

Sorry I didn't get post this here earlier. I've been quite busy the last week.

Miha, I can't imagine it taking that long, but I don't have hard dates right now. The controllers are 100% done, but the supply chain issues are a headache. One backordered or misordered part and things get delayed. Next week I'll have controllers and a much better idea about dates.

You can send mine in a Ziplock bag if you like.

Hey sorry to post this here. Its a bit more information than I'd like to give on the forum but your inbox is full. Here is the intended PM:

Hey Brandon,

Hope you have been well. First off...sorry for asking this of you, I am sure you are super busy. Since I paid for the lights, my company has been bought out by a larger company. So I am not really supposed to be taking in more inventory. I have another REDUser who is interested in buying my kit for the amount I paid you.

I was thinking about the safest way to proceed with the sale. Do you think it would be possible to have you invoice the buyer for the full amount I paid you....then once he pays, switch my order over to his name. At that point I am hoping it would be possible to be refunded the amount I have paid.

I know its a logistical headache for you, but hopefully this way you would not financially feel my refund as I have another buyer lined up.

Is that possible?

I've been bogged down with personal health matters and haven't had much time to get to everyone's emails and PMs. I will start getting back to everyone in a day or two. I'm days away from having the first couple finished controllers in hand and will post immediately when they arrive.

I cleared out some old messages, Michael.

Here's the final printing:

As soon as the enclosures are back from the printer the first finished controllers will be on the way to me (a few days, I hope). Then, finally, our production run can begun.

I'm way behind on emails and PMs. My eyes blew up again and I ended up back in the hospital. As soon as I can see straight (a few days, I hope), I will get back to emails. Flooding my eyes with steroids and anti-inflammatory meds now.

Oh that sounds awful.

I know it sounds easier said than done but you really need to give your eyes a good rest!! Nothing is more important than your health.

A lot of people have been asking if they can order the RGBW CRI95+ Daylight strips that I've been testing...

X0lHyDb.jpg

Well, now you can. We will do a production run of these NEXT WEEK. These are "double" rolls and they go for $99 each. With these you can have a constant CRI 95+ daylight source and program in different RGB light effects like police lights, ambulance lights, nightclub lighting, etc. RGB and White brightness can be adjusted independently.

Here's the list so far:

RGBW CRI95+ Daylight Rolls

Michael Ou x 4

James Gil x 2
Jamon Lewis x 2
Curtis Pair x 4
Bob Gundu x 2
Manfred Lopez x 1

AGAIN, this shuts down on MONDAY. There are no extensions, no extras you can order later, and no planned second batches anytime soon. We are only doing this so everyone can hit the ground running with their controllers and so we can all make use of the new RGBW functionality. If you want in, tell me how many rolls you want and I'll add you to the list.

On Monday I'll have an update about the controllers. If you still want to order some, now is the time. They are $127.92 today, but the price will go up after this first batch.

We are almost done with this beast of a Group Buy... :)

This video should be posted here where all Redusers can see it.

Sorry for the delay. I sent these to Facebook from my phone/iPad. I haven't been able to get to my workstation until yesterday due to the eye problems I've had the last week and only then for about 20 minutes.

So RGBW aren't the variable strip we ordered in post 1? They are different? What's the difference?

Variable = White (tungsten to daylight, basically). RGBW = Red, Green, Blue and Daylight White (CRI95+). It's just another brush to have on hand.

Very impressive!

THANKS Brandon.
