  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Thanks for the support guys. The MRI is tomorrow morning. That's the soonest they could schedule it. Apparently all the opthamologists at the hospital I went to had a meeting about me and they think the most likely culprit is multiple sclerosis, though they all acknowledge it's a very strange case. I haven't taken corticosteroids yet and may not end up needing them. My optic nerve is no longer inflamed and my eyes are healing. The only thing that's not healing is the "noise" in my left eye and the blurry areas in my visual field in my left eye. it's like I have a really bad blackshade on my left eye and someone smeared a little Vaseline on the left side of my eyeball. My left eye was also stuck "wide open" (fully dilated) for days. It's only now starting to function normally. Really hoping I can dodge a bullet and this is a one-time attack. Here's hoping tomorrow doesn't define the rest of my life.

If you want your lights shipped to you before the controllers go out PM me. Next week I'll start getting orders out.
 
Might be an idea to get someone else to read and write replies here and in emails to save your eyes looking at computer screens too much.

And take it easy too - overworking has been the downfall of far too many people. Even though the spirit may be willing, sometimes the body hits a wall and things go out of balance. Get well soon dude!
 
Yes please or at least an eta for the strips and accessories.
Also has anyone researched other controllers that will work for at least one the variable strips?
I have a project soon and would really like to have something working even if I have to buy a few other controllers just to make it happen.

I'll have an estimate on Monday. I'll let you guys know ASAP.

My vision is recovering. Everything is sharp now, but I still have "noise" issues in my left eye. My eye doctor says that should heal, but could take months. All good news. The bad news is I likely have MS. I'll know more next week.

I'll start contacting people about shipping this weekend and get caught up on your emails. I'm on this. Just needed a few days off.

I'm sorry that you have had this happen and that you had to perhaps find this out in this way. It must be a difficult time for you at the moment. If there is a way I can help, please let me know.

I'm not in a hurry for my lights, so you can take your time with mine and prioritise others who are more in need.

I'm getting an MRI and IV corticosteroids tomorrow to try to save the eye. I'm really hoping the vision loss isn't permanent and this isn't a sign of bad things to come (like MS).

I really appreciate the support guys. Thank you. I'll have the MRI report in a day or two. I'm really hoping it's not too bad.

I should have an update about the controllers tomorrow.

Where do we stand with the LEDs that were sent off to a 3rd party to be shipped? Any idea what the status on that is?

I don't have a status update yet on the high frame rate tests. Hopefully it comes tonight. That's all we are waiting on now. They are trying to get the HFR support as high as possible.

Thanks again everyone for the support during this crazy time. The MRI report came back with optic neuritis, inactive lesions (not sure how many) in my brain and 1 active lesion in my spine. It said it's all, but guaranteed to be MS. I see a neurologist tomorrow. My vision has recovered except for the noise in my left eye. Being hit with something like this out of nowhere does tend to put life in perspective.
