  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Group Buy: Budget CRI 95 LED Strip Lights

will the production case actually be cast?

your pics look like gauge metal bent in a brake

hey brandon-

could you start posting updates to the first post in this thread? it is exhausting looking through all the pages of the forum to find the updates. thanks.

I have one hell of a shoot mid-May but I guess we will do without those LEDs as you're right it's better to wait and do it right.

Yeah, I'm in the same situation.

will the production case actually be cast?

So, I'm told.

Good idea, Benjamin. Yes, I will add an index of updates at the top of the first post and keep it updated.

I need these lights like 6 weeks ago. :willy_nilly:

You and me both... The finish line is close.

The switches on that controller are crazy, WE HAVE to get that fixed, once you put a knob on it I can't see how it won't touch one of the switches, as much as i'm burnt out from waiting, I don't see any other option than to wait.

Yeah fix it. Although it's tough to wait I don't like it the way it is either. And I'd rather have it good than only half way at this point in time.

Btw never gotten a reply from my request for an additional fixed daylight. If you find a minute please check your emails :)

Cheers!

Very cool! Will there be instructions posted on wiring and on using it's wireless capabilities?

Definitely!

An RF remote for it is the next project. Well, one of the next projects... :)

Awesome Brandon!

So, I just received my fixed strips.

Bought some "tubes" to put them in, with integrated diffusion. Cut some 60 cm strips an put one into a tube.

And wow, I'm blown away by the brightness of this thing. Pretty impressive. Color seems to be great too.

I'll do more tests in the upcoming days, but first impression is very positive. Let's take the time to get the controllers right :)

You guys have no idea how hard I had to fight to get a red power switch ;)

(among many other things)
