  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Can you please confirm or otherwise if these deliveries did or did not happen. If not, do you have a new delivery deadline? Your post above was made on the last day of February so I'm assuming that the two dates mentioned are for March and so have already past.

I understand shipping deadlines can slip, but you have not said one way or another, leading us to assume they are now in your possession which is great if so. Please help us out here.

I posted a quick update the other day in the Facebook group. The short of it is the controller software didn't make it out of QC. Some code was optimized and it broke the wireless functionality. My contact at the factory was out of town (still is) so news was slow getting to him and ultimately to me. The latest is that the software fix was rather trivial and it's done now and been in QC since Friday. I'm supposed to get an update late tonight or tomorrow morning with ship dates. Everything is built, assembled and boxed. It's just a matter of probing the controllers to update the code and that's it.

In all fairness, you received all of your group buy strips and all your accessories in February of 2015 and you received your controllers last September. The two remaining rolls of light that you have coming are from a second order you made after receiving everything but the controllers, and you were at one point going to upgrade them to mats. Regardless, they are currently on the way to you now. Log in and check your order status. That's everything.

Thanks for the update. Please put updates on this forum. This group buy was started here, not on Facebook.
 
The software update fixed the bug. I'm told they expect to begin the software updates for the controllers tomorrow. I will have confirmation tomorrow and should have dates, too.

Apparently, I am not being clear in my posts. I am waiting on 770 controllers to be shipped to me. Once I have them in the warehouse, shipping resumes.
 
I will have a status update on the controllers on Monday. The last I heard one engineer signed off on the code update and we were waiting for a second engineer to do the same, which likely happened over the weekend. They were instructed to start updating all the controllers immediately upon approval of the code.
 
We are all set. Controllers are being shipped Monday to the warehouse.
 
Brandon, I want to commend you on this huge and complex undertaking. I'm also on the FilmFerrania startup so I understand the difficulties.

Can you give any info on when the mats will be available?

Thanks, JB. I don't think I've ever put so much work into anything before.

Once the controllers arrive and things start shipping, I will have a better idea about mats. The daylight mats will be ready first.
 
Good news! 400 controllers are shipping out to the warehouse TODAY. Will post an update once they are in hand!
 
The controllers arrived! They are in the warehouse. I will be contacting all of you 1 by 1 about shipping costs. Everything is calculated now. Controllers and strips resume shipping on Monday. The finish line is fast approaching!

Very exciting, I’m designing over a dozen marionette/stop motion sets at the moment. Can’t wait to bring these to the party! Nice work Brandon!
