  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

GROUP BUY - Blueshape V-Mount Batteries

Hello all, glad to see a good number of these orders are shipping!

The first email I received from Blueshape (back on Nov.2) said that they were expecting delays on a couple of the models, but that they would be shipping out Nov. 19 / 20th. I hadn't heard anything from them since, so sent a follow-up email to John today. He responded quickly with the following (I asked him if I could share this status with the group, to keep us all in the loop):

We received some items from Italy Monday. There is still a significant amount of items on back-order. All BV090, BV150 and the CVS8X are yet to be received; the guys are trying to squeeze in additional production above the scheduled amounts. I am waiting for the projected ship date and will update you as soon as I get a promised date. My apologies for the delay.

Got mine tonight after my neighbor brought them over. UPS delivered to the wrong house. Thank you Spencer and John for setting up the group buy. Looking forward to another one in the future.

Thanks to Spencer for organizing this amazing group buy! I picked up a bunch of batteries and caught the blueshape bug because of it, haha. After some researching on the blueshape brand, I soon learned of a limited edition PINK breast cancer awareness run and had to have them. Unfortunately there was only ONE left for purchase :(. After some coercing and convincing (read: pleading), Blueshape agreed to do a limited one time run of the Pink batteries again...this time for the MINIs! Any chance on getting in on the deal now? Sorry for being that guy showing up late to the party but I have to ask! I could really use two new batteries and charger...
 
There one going on for some special edition pink ones. Its a charity fund raiser. I think that is still open if you don't mind the color. I believe its for the mini v mounts that are about to be released also. Its on reduser somewhere.

edit: Oh I guess Randy already replied to this thread about it a few posts ago. =)

Stupid question...does this work with the RED CHARGER?

Im getting the red blink during charge so i stopped.

According to the RED BRICK CHARGER manual, the red blinking means VOLTAGE TO LOW.

Not sure what that really means.

Yes. Blueshape batteries should all work fine on the RED charger. (Not sure about all third party charges but I know RED is good to go.)

The light should flash red while charging and then turn green when done.

If you're charging the batt for the first time it takes awhile because they drain the cells low for storage/ shipment.

I would be skeptical.
Honestly, it will probably appear to work and will probably charge the battery... but if it works it's most likely not going to do a very good job of maintaining and balancing the cells over the long haul.

So much lighter when you're combining Arrow +, Atomos Shogun and Cinegears FF.

Im still using the four way P-Tap to avoid using the right tap (bend cables as you rest it).
