how does the magnetic frame attach to the monitor

I borrowed a DP6 from prolifik films to test if a Grid 5.0 would work on it. There is some cropping of the outside edges if flushed to the monitor. The aspect ratio seems slightly different. It would be possible to use it, but you would have to rig a way to attach it. The magnetic piece that the viewfinder attaches to is smaller than the bezel on a DP6. You would see all the frame if you moved the viewfinder away from the monitor about 1/2 an inch, maybe less. Nicholas, you want to make us a piece for that?

it is possible, but for that I would have to have the exact measurements of the monitor ...
cause i don't have this monitor...

Looks great!!! But wouldn't magnets represent a risk of erasing SSDs? Have any of you tested this?

Did some more testing with the Grid on the smallHD DP6 today and it really is nice to have the extra resolution for focus work. Does anyone in Nicholas' part of the world have a DP6 they can loan him? Obviously the best solution is the bomb EVF but in a pinch, this might be quite useful.

no problems with magnets and SSDs so far. If I understand it correctly, SSDs aren't affected by magnetic fields as much as by the rate of change of magnetic flux inducing small levels of current. In my random testing of the Grid 5.0 I haven't noticed an issue at this point.

Received the Grid a couple of days ago and I have to say the pincushion distortion doesn't affect the confort of work.
It does the job for a fair price, that's all we are asking for.

I purchased a GRID 5 View Finder on May 1st, It was shipped on may 5th allegedly, and its may 10th and it hasn't left brazil. Their website said 3-4 days for shipping to the U.S., I'm very concerned about my purchase.


Update-got a quick response from grid, I should be receiving it today, will post update
