We are very proud of our good friend Greg Williams who has just signed as Writer and Director of his film "Samarkand" with a $40m budget.

Greg deserves much credit for spearheading the Stills-from-Motion revolution via RED cameras and he also was one of the first to do Motion Covers. Greg's background is in Set Stills and Fashion/Luxury photography but since the RED ONE started shipping he dived into motion and has shot almost every one of his films pieces on RED, as well as an array of magazine covers shot on RED.

We are excited to see Greg take the step into directing his first major motion picture.

Here is the press release:

And you can see his motion and still work here :

Dream big guys... anything is possible :)

Busting tail everyday to put ALL the elements together... In addition to all the National Commercials that we shoot weekly, I am also in prepro on a Multiplatform series that would make you especially proud!

I can't thank you guys enough for helping me raise my game tremendously over the past 6 years... And for all the support that I get from Justin, Sean, Nate and everyone else. It has been life changing, thank you. :)

Right on Benz... great to hear.

Tom Hardy + $40 mil. Winning.

Well I guess my reality with us as a digital broadcaster triggering $20+ Million worth of production in each of the next two years and acting as a theatrical distributor is not a big enough dream. At least Red is a part of our game plan.

BTW check out the Assimilate booth at NAB. Apparently they will have our film and trailer in 4K and showing the workflow...baby steps.

I love hearing things like this. Red was a fairy tale once upon a time. Now, the happy ending spreads. Congrats Mr. Williams.

'I've been an admirer of Gregs for a long time. In fact I will admit that I bought a RED camera because if his work. Congrats Greg!

wow :) Thanks Greg....
