We finished this a few weeks back.
A steady cam shoot we did on location down in Cape town.. .

I wish this was shot with our epic but it was actually done with one of those big german HD cameras. But I figure I show you any way. The film in the end is missing titles and VO. But it shows the CG build up quite nice I thought.

Client: Julius Baer Private banking

I though this tread would be filled with comments about pale alexa green screen or such. LOL

Your Team is amazing. The lack of comments might be from awe and intimidation.

Well done!

looks like i'm seeing some tiny matte issues where you need to adjust your edge settings in just a bit to compensate pixel values for coming closer the the subject - it's right before/as the camera turns. just seeing a little edge glowing out there on the left side. you could probably add a bit of motion blur over the top of that area if you're having trouble with the key. not a big deal, in the grand scheme of things. i've actually got a shot on my reel with the exact same problem... i've re-rendered and fixed it, but i didn't catch it until i'd already uploaded and i haven't been back to my home computer to swap it out yet...

and where's the background reflection on the shiny tables? ;)

the shot is amazing, really really incredible job. just had to give you a hard time. :)

how come you always upload .movs? too much time to download to then just see an sd file... much more convenient to watch a vimeo file (with the ability to download) - who knows, maybe you'll get more responses/watches :)

great work!

Your right, but this was actually not the final render there where several hours more spent before the master was sent down to the guys down at Condor films.
The camera shadow issue was a known allready on the preprod stage and we actually decided just to fly with it and retouch it out of the shot. And off course I pointed out that if they would have used our epic instead of the bulky german HD camera then not only would we have to spend less time on the keying... the steady cam shadow on the wall could be a lot smaller :)

For tracking we use syntheyes in "manual mode"...

cool, well nice work. why did the screen look the way it did? the skintones were pretty much fine, but that green... haven't ever gotten alexa footage to work with. so is this an anomaly or does alexa not like greenscreen work?

Do I see a 35mm cam on the steady cam in the shadow when the sun gets high?

Pat

PS: the lillte guy who plays violin is impressive!

It's one of those german HD cameras that cast that ugly shadow... took a bit of work to replace the whole back wall with a projected 3D surface to knock that one out of the final... :)

Yes the little guy was impressive... but I do not know, he was an asian kid grown up in Switzerland and when I asked him if he got bored playing for 20 straight hours he told me that thats what he do every day in school... private music school that was... no pressure or any thing..
