Grading 4k HD 2x Anamorphic footage shot on scarlet

Hi!

I have footage that was shot on a scarlet (4kHD) using 2x anamorphic Kowa lenses.

I need a little help setting up my project. What is the best way to set it up (resolution/pixel aspectratio)
if the desired output is 2k DCI Scope 2048x858 or 1920x803 for web?

Hey John,

I usually make the change in the Clip Attributes. I add the anamorphic footage in the media pool then right click > Clip Attributes and change the pixel aspect ratio to CinemaScope. I then just insert them in the timeline. But I think you will have some black bars if you render in 2k DCI so you might want to adjust the blanking. Thats the way I do it but there might be better ways.
