Hello to all,

I always enjoyed reviewing the many threads Ben Scott posts regarding grading his R3D stills, thought I'd give it a shot as well.

This one was shot on an Epic, with the Red 17-50mm.

Still from an upcoming promo for Webster Hall's, "Webster Hell" night on Halloween. (Two dominatrix models "tease torture" an obese-man in an abandoned apartment)

I haven't been able to decide what kind of "look" I'm going for, still in the process of putting this thing together. But tomorrow night the color grading begins!

So grade away! (fyi, this is a first for me, posting up an R3d, so if I'm doing something wrong let me know, also threw in a tiff file)

Looking forward to it.

So fun!

Nice work Colin.

the bottom one remind me of a "matrix-esque" look. The top one I dig too!

I have to say it again in the hopes that the Adobe Lightroom team is listening. I would LOVE it if Lightroom would recognize single frame .r3d files as a still image and not as footage. Would be so awesome to load single frame .r3d files into Lightroom and have them be treated the same as a canon or nikon raw file...

You could send a still image to Lightroom from RedCine-X, but it would be a tiff not .r3d ;(

Yes you are correct, but it would be great to grade stills from the Epic directly in Lightroom as a raw file...

I get really good results sending from RedCine as a full resolution TIFF, but it would better to just have LR deal with the .r3d files...

Yea Ben, I know what you mean now! You're grade was good, makes the talent "pop out".

And John, you defiantly nailed that Matrix look!

Took a break from editing, here's my take on it:
