Hey, there was a few threads about the subject, i cant seem to find them.. What Small GPS tracking units do you guys use? i was thinking about slipping them into the pelican cases or something

someone posted the perfect one like a few months ago.. thread had something to do with wifi, and stuff man i need to figure this out.. rentals coming in and i want to get GPS tracking going

these are good options.. is there any product that doesn't require a monthly fee? i need like 3 of these things.. could get expensive fast, like there is one in my Dogs neck.... that's tiny, granted that prob only works for a few miles, but i only plan on renting locally to Films that get recommended to me by the film commission with insurance.. this would be for extra piece of mind, and to make sure the productions were being honest about their locations

+1 on no monthly fees...too much gear to track.

Thank you,

I bought some of those: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2008778

Works but only for a few days without external power trough USB...

Now I'm thinking of looking into getting Vlock batteries with usb out. then recell them with smaller cells and leave a little space for the trax... that would make a tacking device which would be chargeable for weeks and that the potential thief also most likely would be recharging him self.

Trax are a bit costly but you get a program and iphone app to go with it and you can put out geo fences, speed alarms etc etc. works very well I think. I used them in the foam of our lens pelli cases with a large USB batteries and the thing lasted for about 4 days or so. with a vlock sized battery time would improve.
