  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Got weapon flipped handle forward.

RVZ also cut the handle too.

Still waiting for my little bits of metal apparently there was something important that needed to go trough the mill.. What could be more important than my little block of aluminum with holes int it I wonder. Nest week they said, but you know how that goes :)

Got my little hand machined / milled aluminium lump delivered Same day as I got my CF screen. Just Love it both of them.

Screen is insanely good compared to the 5" which I did not have a problem with, but well now going back is not an option. Those that think noga arm is a must... I thought so, well now I reconsidered just not having the cluster fuck with the cables is so nice. and if I need it on the blind side well then I rater mount it on my new handle with the lemo adapter in between than on a noga arm. :)

My little "skybridge handle" came out really well. To make it right the size should be a few millimeter bigger on all dimensions so there is more space for rounded corners and getting the threaded holes a bit away from the edge.. But even as is now, it´s really bad ass. Moves everything to above the handle instead of underneath. Don't have any rosette handles but I think having two up there and let the camera hang between the handles would be really nice.

And now today WD came out with their lowered Vlock no cable clutter back module. So those that hack saw of their handles... well maybe that was maybe a bit rushed to do so. :)

Any plans for groupbuy, Bjorn? It would be even better with a black powder coat or anodized or whatever.

Yes it will be anodised black.

I was thinking to make a group buy. But with all the threaded holes I think those will be a bit more costly than what people are willing to spend.

And again WD really solved the Vlock module today. No tools module lowered and without cable.

But I will ask the CNC guys how much to make many and if enough people want this I can check the price.

then we all need this plate..

Yes, I wrote this so many times, Red should hire that guy. Not only to make modules but also to make the demo videos :)

Love the blue shape one, with usb. When I was out filming last week I was out in super bright sunlight and only had EVF and fool control on my phone. Which would have worked superb if my phone did not run out of power. Having usb on board is really nice in such scenarios... or pretty much always, I kind of stop functioning when my phone goes low no mater what. Lol.

I can confirm the global media pro batteries will not fit not the v lock i/o module pictured. Th battery is a few millimetres too wide (103mm) .Solution would be to use the non v-lock i/o module and attach something like a Wood en Camera cable-less v lock mount, which would move the battery far enough away from the body.

Hi Nino. Can you explain how the Global Media Pro batteries don't fit? Are they too close to the Red v-lock i/o connectors? Thanks!

Yes, the i/o Vlock back isn't physically wide enough to accomodate the battery.
The right hand side of the battery will touch the protruding panel that accommodates the connectors. It appears that if your batteries are wider than 98mm they won't fit. The global medias i have are about 102mm wide and won't fit.
