I did a little test shoot from a hill top above Los Angeles.
I am getting 6K resolution with my 'special' post processing. The footage was captures at 4K with a Scarlet.
If you take the time to look, I think you will agree that there has never been any footage like this from a Red camera anywhere.
I venture to guess that it is similar or higher in detail that is available from the Monochrome Epic, but in color. Yep.
Maybe I'm wrong on the above, so I would invite a test shootout here in LA if someone is interested in this.
here is the 6K still ( you should download and open in photoshop ) : http://www.mediafire.com/view/?wsoa6f3eemfd2ej
and the 1920 center crop XVID compressed ( not resized, frame rate reduced to 3 fps to allow you to see detail ) :

and another link for 6k still image ( Thanks Pablo ) : http://biz77.myvnc.com/6k_LA_steady_.00015.jpg
Here are dropbox links, in case media fire is screwy :

edit: I though I'd insert some of the latest images here as well. Compares a 'regular' camera with what I'm working on lately:
I shot this test at the Rose Bowl.
The same lens was used on both cameras, a 50mm zeiss at f8. Both cameras shot 4K 24fps, redcode 6:1.
First, here are some 1:1 crops. On the camera with OLPF, I processed in RCX and resized to 6K ( lanczos ) and sharpened in Fusion.
The other is my 6K process.
And my method:

Again, 'regular camera' :
My 6K :
