  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Goose bumps...

Be careful what you post. I am passionate.

I don't think he was being rude by saying what he said. Also, I don't think English is his first language, so there is probably a language barrier mixup which resulted in a different choice of words.

Banning seems a little extreme.

Working REDucation in the booth, I probably saw this reel play at least 25 times, and it made me stop and watch every single time...sent chills up my spine. Great edit, great track, magnificent footage, totally compelling...RED personified!

Hey is the RED reel from NAB going to be online at all? Would love to show it off to people who couldn't make it.

It was ABSOLUTELY AWESOME to watch this in person at NAB...

Perhaps he meant that one - not all - of the films in there used an EPIC as a B camera. Just as some have pointed out that one or two shots were mostly or entirely CGI. Personally I would have asked him to clarify. It only takes a minor slip of grammar to make a fair comment into a smart-arse one.

The Puffin and the Fox clip makes me want cry :)

Same here, every time it came on I would stop. I think everyone did. 25 times still feels like it wasn't played enough.

I'm sorry if this is a bit irreverently offside - I have never seen an image of Jim Jannard.

On reading the comment, I had this mind-picture of a Richard Branson lookalike, wearing a headmasterly frown of remonstrance, seated at a big but uncluttered heavy jarrah desk, certificates and awards in frames on mahogany wall as backdrop, a small desk sign titled "Moderator" in dead centre, personal Epic camera on a felt mousemat to his left and his right hand replacing a recently swung plastic flyswat onto another felt mat to his right. In foreground, a few flakes of dandruff and single hair from the dissident's dome float gently down in the flyswat's slipstream.

Offscreen, there sounds a gollum-like slither as the recalctrant departs, then the door closes with a luxurious click.

He calls "Okay - Next".

Then again, he might be a shop floor man and every now and again, a QC certificate bears the signature "Jannard".

Writers own the necessary luxury of imagining things.

Kemalettin, pretty big deal getting banned by the Big Boss... I was only ever banned by moderators. '-)

Getting banned and unbanned by the leader is a big achievement, yeah. The forum should have a badge for that. ;)

Great reel, watched it 3 times and showed it to family and friends, everyone liked it. It demonstrates really good how big RED's impact already is, how important RED has become. It's a unbelievable story of believing in a vision and breaking barriers. And for me personally it's a miracle to have access to those tools, i realize that every day i use my Scarlet.

My deepest thanks and congratulations Jim and RED.

It's an inspirational reel on a few levels.
Sometimes I need to see stuff like this to get me re motivated.

If I ever hear biased or unfair statements launched at Red and it's users (it still happens) I'll point them to this reel.
It would surely kill the noise.
