I'd be willing to take a beer bet with someone, payable at NAB, that this is total BS :-).

If it were optically possible to do it well I would think it needs another lens support (and maybe a third on 19mm studio rods.)

But the real question is what mattebox and follow focus to buy for it?

Last week I was shooting bald eagles with my 150-600. The landscape and light were amazing. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get much of the landscape with the eagles due to the time constrains of changing lenses.

With a lens like this will be easy to capture your subject plus the surrounding environment.

Walking around doesn’t usually mean a Sherpa to carry this lens!

I am disappointed that it is only VR II. It should at least have some sort of O.I.S. element built in, with settings, and Nikon's new "Cinema Motors", yet all rings be geared with excellent/at-least-great mechanics --though the sweets... they would be in that the motors are specifically designed to be controlled through Red's Nikon electronic mount, using the contender for the title of best wireless systems... on the right corner.... the RedMote Proooooooo! :) And of course have custom mini Oakleyesque CF matte box, with three rotating stages and full flags. :cheers2:

Never mind that at a 600mm focal length, an F1:4 aperture would have a 150mm diameter. The Nikon F mount has an external diameter of 44mm.... Hmmm....

Funny joke image, but it's so over the top silly...
